Hey Kouma

Have you had a chance to look at the new source code for the DHD

I was just wondering if there was any monitoring stuff in it.


Is it possible to use your modded DHD source from the Froyo kernel and compile it with the new GB kernel?

Would you be able to post your modded Froyo DHD source code some where?

I started to dig through the new source, it's a fair bit different from the froyo source. I didn't find anything named Hotspot event monitoring in the new source. That doesn't necessarily mean they didn't hide the functionality in there though

the one package mode tar that has just the boot.img in it will not affect your apps and settings. the CWM version will not affect your apps or settings either.

There are mods out there that use this kernel, those typically will remove your apps and settings in order to convert your filesystems to EXT4.
Installing just the kernel will not disturb anything else

If we can get the kernel to compile from source, then yeah.

Right now, all we can do is swap out the root filesystem that is packed with the kernel executable, but we have been unsuccessful with making changes to the executable itself.

if progress is made, it will be announced :)

oh ok i see. i would give it a try but my psu died on my machine im using an old dell inspirion lol but thanks for responding and for all of ur work

this works on cm7 right? ill try it tomorrow. if yes ill try it tomorrow. i go in to work in a few hours and i dont want to make my phone boot loop if i might need it incase of an emergency.

I am running this with ctmod 2.4, and it is working fine. Thanks Kouma! What Kouma said in the first post is true. First time opening apps may, and I mean may, be a tad sluggish, but after that, the performance is quite peppy. I have an 8gb class 10 card.
 
Working fine with 187MoD. Just got my TB straightened out, now all is well. I even added kickass kernel script. Thanks kouma and hroark.
 
I install this kernel, and now Internet Explorer on my cousins computer in New Jersey is not connecting to the Internet.

HELP!!!!!!!!!
