Looking around for a G PRO2 that would work on T-MOBILE's LTE & stumbled across a G PRO on AMAZON for $60.

Was listed in used/very good condition & sold directly by AMAZON Warehouse Deals.

A 5.5" 1080 Display/Removable battery/2GB-32GB expandable memory,sounds good to me,I snatched it up,should be here Saturday. :)

Found the APN Settings to get this to work on T-MO's LTE,so,I might pass on the G3,for now anyway.........

Should be back in stock at this price tomorrow (6/27/14):

Amazon.com: LG Optimus G Pro, Black 32GB (AT&T): Cell Phones & Accessories

EDIT:

Looks like the $60 price is gone (less than an hour after posting this),anyone else here snatch one up at this price?

total bummer :( i was gonna order on tomorrow im running a htc evo v (3d) i will have to keep and eye out

actually... the tmo manager told me they won't allow tmo towers in Princeton.. so it's not their fault.

Similar situation where I work, except, for some inexplicable reason,SPRINT is the odd man out.
AT&T/T-Mo/VZW & even CRICKET have equipment mounted atop a 4-story building,great reception.

SPRINT equipment is on the outer limits of the property, occasionally getting wet from high tide ;).............

And guess which provider my employer chose for company-isued i-Phones? :banghead:

Great deal. I would get it too. Too late for me.

Congrats, kamrad!

Cпасибо Maine Coon! ;)

UPS (usual AMAZON courier) typically delivers to my area at the very end of the day, will post a quick review on 6/29 & keep an eye out for similar pricing.
Originally sounded as if they (AMAZON) anticipated having more @ the $60 price,we'll see......

Lots of really favorable reviews coming in from actual users. Screen brightness does not seem like a problem at all. Battery life seems quite good. Feel and weight of the device are highly rated. Speaker is nice and loud. Very, very solid device. I'm still in the game.

Actual users!? Blasphemy!

We only accept reviews from the staff of tech sites and whatever Steven tells us to think!

:D

Yeah, but you are happy with a 2/16 ;) Most of us that dwell in the forums are not. Matter of fact, it looks like people have already been jumping from the G3 ship.

I might go bleeding edge and get a used Note 3 and then wait it out until next year when we get the 20nm 64bit chippies with a gpu that can actually have breathing room with Qhd, though I STILL prefer 1080p.

Again, I look at my 27" 1080p monitor and find it great. The Note 3 5.7" 1080p display to me looks great and I can not tell pixel spacing at all. Even when looking about 10" away. Not ONE pixel. Zippo, zilch, zero, nuttin', zero, goose egg, eye of a strong hurricane, etc.

As far as current owners, like any device I pay little real attention to feedback for a few weeks. New device pixie dust is potent stuff :)

The 2k is begging for you to accept it, are you willing?

Nah, not a troll.. As a matter of fact, it doesn't really matter either way because a lot of the enthusiasm for this device has waned over the past month. It kinda just another phone. Had it had the Snapdragon 805? and if it came with 3/32? It would have autoMATically be SEEN as the phone of the year (whether it actually was or not.)

This phone is not reeeeeeallly a game changer to me. Only the thin bezels and maaaaaaybe the screeen make it so, but maybe not so much.

Yes, this just highlights that LG is making idiotic marketing decisions and seems to have infected the carriers with the same nonsense.

... but the T-mobile service was very bad in my area.

Same situation for me. I likely would have ported all my lines to T-mobile already, but service for them at my house is non-existent. That is actually why I am hoping the merger happens because T-mobile has very good coverage in all other areas of LA.

Even the offering of wifi calling wasn't enough for me to switch from Sprint... which unfortunately has the best coverage at my house... even better than Verizon.

I think it's more influenced by the carriers rather than LG itself.

Tell that to Apple. They don't seem to have any sort of problem like this. I still say LG is the source of the problem, but beyond that it is Google and the fact that Android is so open to begin with. They loose control of quality control itself. It ends up fragmented, bloated and often watered down which is not a good thing. I gave up on iphones a couple years back, but this experience is pushing me back even though I do realize I will be giving up some of the things that I because accustomed to with Android, but it is hard to keep my enthusiasm when they play these little bait and switch games. I'm sure some people don't care about stuff like this at all, but the air is out of my sails over this. I was so looking forward to this phone and now I'm getting to hate it, maybe just out of protest.

(fanboys, please don't chime in that I'm wining. yes, I know I'm wining)

I cannot believe the rest of the world is getting the phone today and the US can't even get a verified specific date on when the certain carriers will have it. Ridiculous.

Tune in tomorrow for As The Cell Phone World Turns...

Actually, it is nothing new. You get used to it.

One more week probably of nothing, which fits unfortunately to the tactic of marketing not announcing lower spec devices until near launch. Meanwhile, Tmo stores are telling customers they are getting the premium 32GB. In other words, they are getting the better of the two models- not the 2/16.

One interesting tidbit is IF Tmo has temporary exclusivity, why not be touting it in marketing efforts?

IF the other carriers do not offer a 2/16 at launch, they probably never will unless sales of the 2/16 are off their internal forecasts. They watch that and accessory attach rates like hungry hawks.

That's an excellent point about the silence from TMO. Gives me hope. If I'm honest with myself, I'm so invested in this thing already, there is a small chance I would just get the 2/16 and hate myself for a year.
