Don't know. USB debugging has always worked fine.

Just in case you don't know... You cannot be connected to a usb cable while trying to toggle USB debugging or it won't let you. Toggle it before plugging the usb cable.
 
What is the easiest way to upgrade from pressy SD hack to this Rom ...could I download the 12b firmware and install through CWM?

Pressy's SD hack installs a hacked kernel and recovery which you need to remove before installing this rom. Your best bet is probably to use LG tool to install 12b kdz and then use towelroot to root 12b then install the recovery I have linked in the first post then you can install the rom. It sounds like a lot, but it's actually an easy process.

If you still need help with all this then start a new thread and we'll cover all that there since this thread isn't for removing sd hack and restoring phone to 12b.

Has anyone discussed the SD Hack vs Link2SD? IOW, what are the pros and cons of each?
 
GT, thanks again for the solid rom.

Only little thing I noticed is that in the dialer if you want to correct a mistake and tap on the number the cursor doesn't show (i'm guessing it's because it's a black cursor on a black background). Only work around is to tap a couple times so the little selection marker (light blue) comes up. Perhaps you could fix this by making the cursor another color?

I was wondering if it is possible to have changed values in settings.db to stick even after reboots.
It would be so awesome if I just could use my phone' s wifi tethering on T-mobile.

For t-mobile tethering head on over to the t-mobile f6 forum and you can discuss it there. I won't be doing anything else for tethering though.

When I switched to this rom instead of the stock rom I lost the notification if I was running on 4g LTE or just the 4g. It only displays 4g now. Was wondering how I could go about fixing this?
 
Hi. First ever post.:D... anyways.
Can someone tell me if I can install the Overclock Kernel without installing Xperion ROM?
 
I was looking for another thread related to storage to ask this question but I guess its been so long.
But the question I have to ask is why does the phone give different storage space available( in storage it says one amount; then in apps, the amount is almost double than whats in storage)? I have 200+MB reported under storage, I'm trying to update an app that is less than 3x that amount and i get insufficient storage error...
 
Well thanks to a google search i got back double my available space in storage by clearing individual app cache, but i would still like to know why the phone reports different free space under storage and apps if that can be answered.

So if i use xperin rom will my downloads from the app store go straight to the sd card or will it go to internal strorage? Also if i wanted to switch to tmobile since i have metro pcs , will i have to uninstall this rom?

Downloads will be the same as they are on stock rom. Yes you can switch to t-mobile without uninstalling the rom.

So your saying that my sd card will be useless like it is right now since I cant download anything to my sd card? because that is the only reason why I wanted to get this rom
 
Gametheory thanks for your help for getting from pressys SD hack to xperion...everything went smooth as your instructions said...I purchased link2sd and its pretty good...better than the sdhack for anyone that wants to know and with the freedom kernel the rom is top of the line for this phone

Have the MetroPCS version, using ST.

Having a few problems...

I'm unlocked, rooted... Possibly have downloaded CWM (not sure), but I downloaded the two links provided in the wiki (via downloading http://androidforums.com/6550497-post68.html) which I downloaded to mobogenie. I am now stuck, I'm trying to make a backup via CWM, but I'm not sure if I have it or how to boot into it, (I'm a rookie at this).

I go into ROM manager v5.5.3.7, go to recovery set up, The F6 is not available from the phone selection, so I chose other, and chose version 3.x. I then tried to reboot into recovery (via the on-screen button) to try and make a backup, but all it does is reset the phone. I also to do a backup current stock rom button with no luck.

What am I doing wrong?

I also put the rom xperion on an sd card, to try to do it without a recovery, but its no where to be found via using the install from sd button. (I know I should always have a recovery first, sorry).

Help?!
 
I was able to get the rom, the kernel, the update, and the recovery. The themes don't show up when I flash them. I don't understand why. Please help. I love the custom rom BTW.

There are no Xperion themes. I haven't made any themes for this phone yet.

Are you talking about the system backgrounds? If so those are not themes, they're just backgrounds for the system settings menu. All you have to do is flash them. If you can't get them to flash, then use the rom as is.
 
Hey

Anyone know how I could change the color of the 4g lte icon on the status bar...I tried gravitybox and it doesn't change it...if there is another module out there let me know
