Root [MetroPCS] [ROM][F6] Xperion ROM **Updated 2/11/2015**

Thats weird i reset modem and it failed still it failed 3 times with seconds left and i couldn't download it on my phone. Is there a mirror link?

Try downloading it somewhere else like maybe a friends house or try a different PC or a different phone for download or whatever, but it's definitely an issue on your end. You're the only one not able to download.

And no I don't have a mirror since google drive works just fine and I don't want anyone hosting/mirroring my rom. I'll re-upload it to google drive when I have some time, but that's all I can do.
 
Finally got it downloaded at my cousins house and wow this rom is buttery smooth and i also get consistent 15k scores in antutu now with your kernel and the rom thanks for your hard work GT.
 
Am impress, love the rom. This rom and 11extsd just turn my fone into a beast now i can b happy with my fone full potential. Playing games like modern combat,eternity warrior play like a beast thank you for ur time n hard work

What's 11extsd and where do you find it? I've tried looking all over.
 
So this means that there is finally a storage solution that works with GT's Rom & Kernel? Sweet! Now I just need to get a better SD card like a San disk extreme or Samsung evo/pro.

I remember reading on other threads that the f6 can handle a 64gb card if you format it in storage settings before you store anything on it. Can anyone confirm this?
 
Hey. Just an update on my review of the rom. The only problem i have is battery. As in stock i could play 2 hrs straight n still have 1/2 my battery left on this rom i can bararely play an hr. Even with freedom flash battery dont last much.

Any suggestions?
 
I love this rom but there is one thing that I miss about the stock one. With the stock rom you can theme icons in the launcher but when I changed roms I lost this ability. Is there any app/apps I can restore in order to get this back? BTW I did a full titanium backup before flashing in addition to a full cwm backup. I know that there are plenty of launchers that allow this but every 3rd party launcher I've looked at asks for way too many permissions.

This rom comes with nova which lets you theme the icons. There's tons of themes in the play store. To individually change icon themes long press on the icon then in the pop up click the icon and select the new icon you want.

Alternatively there's Unicon for xposed which also changes icon themes system wide.

I'm unable to connect to samba shares. Can cifs.ko be made available. Would help a lot to play music from my Nas. Anybody got this working?
 
Mr. GT I have your rom and it is great, just one thing. When I use my phone to check my cc and use the dial pad to enter numbers it goes off and on. Is there a way to fix this? If not thanks for the custom rom, I really appreciate it.

I have noticed the same behaviour. But, it happened with my previous phone as well. When I go into Voicemail and try and enter my password, the screen goes on and off. Obviously, it makes it hard to check my voicemail sometimes. But, it is an intermittent thing. So, I'm not sure what to make of it?

EDIT: Obviously, it has nothing to do with this specific ROM.

If you already purchased nova from play store then all you have to do is just install your prime key. If you purchased nova directly from the nova website like I did, all you have to do is open nova app and enter your passkey and email.

If you have a pirated copy of nova, then this isn't the place to seek support for that. App piracy is not welcomed here. Refer to forum rules.

Hey man I recently installed your xperion ROM and was wondering if it was cool to delete the Apollo player, DSP equalizer and the nova launcher without compromising the system?

I have gone back and forth between Xperion rom and stock 12b several times now and removed apollo, dsp manager, and nova launcher almost every time. It has never caused a problem. You can also remove hangouts without hurting anything. I also delete the stock email app and keyboard because I use gmail, outlook.com, and Swiftkey.
 
By the way, if you do decide to delete any other system apps I would suggest using titanium backup to first, backup the app to external sd, then uninstall. That way, if you remove anything that you shouldn't have you can restore it. It would also be a good idea to have a recent cwm or twrp backup just in case.
 
Just a heads up...

The recovery shortcut/app in this rom also works with TWRP recovery.
