Root [MetroPCS] [ROM][F6] Xperion ROM **Updated 2/11/2015**

I have noticed the same behaviour. But, it happened with my previous phone as well. When I go into Voicemail and try and enter my password, the screen goes on and off. Obviously, it makes it hard to check my voicemail sometimes. But, it is an intermittent thing. So, I'm not sure what to make of it?

EDIT: Obviously, it has nothing to do with this specific ROM.

Happens to me and a lot of others as well.
If I'm Not mistaken, that happens because when in a call the proximity sensor is activated and detects when something is near then shuts the screen down. It does that so the screen doesn't stay on while against your ear. Its a pain when typing in pins while on a call though, but it is normal.

This ROM is beautiful, fast, and all around amazing.

GT, you rock..
I would be here all day long for about the next month if I thanked you as many times as you deserve it for your awesome work.

Is there a flashable font pack anywhere or can you only use font programs from the app store? That is the only thing I would want to go with this ROM since everything else about it is already amazing. I'm just tired of the stock fonts. lol
I don't really like font installers since they are basically programs and need to stay running to get/keep the fonts.

Sorry I don't have any fonts for ya. You'll have to google some. Then place them in the /system/fonts directory and change the permissions to rw-r-r and then reboot. If you're using the file manager that comes with this rom then the permissions are (644).

Note:
Make a backup in case you bootloop from some bad fonts lol.

Thanks, GT.
Even if I don't get a font pack, my phone is awesome now so it won't phase me any. My girlfriend loves the speed and new design of this ROM so I might end up flashing her phone too. :)

I believe I was using this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.voicesearch [in this ROM?] successfully for voice searches.

But, today, it stopped working? And, the last update to the above app was June 21, 2011! When I visit the above link and click on "Installed" [usually this means that the app is installed on your phone?], the message is "No eligible devices for app install"? Can someone clear this up for me? And, what are some alternatives for voice search if this can not be reinstalled?

That app comes by default on all androids. I've never had a problem with it. It's integrated into google search which is basically google now. The app does get updated through google search/now.

The one your looking at in the play store is the standalone version for old devices not compatible with google now.

Some changes you may have done could of broke the app. If you have some type of task killer or greenify or something of the sort then check those settings.

Here's the actual google search/google now with integrated voice search. You can probably try reinstalling google search.

If you have a backup of when voice search was working you can restore that backup.

Anyways, that all I have for you. Good luck.

[Thx GT for the link and the help!]
It was not just Voice Search that was MIA. It was Google Search that was MIA as well. It was confusing because the Play Store displayed it as "Installed" [PC browser]. As a matter of fact, when I tried to install it via my PC browser I got the "No eligible devices for app install"??? I used the Play Store app [Android] to install and all is well now. What is with this "No eligible devices for app install" message???
I don't think Greenify was the culprit because I did not use it on Google Search. Although, I don't know why this would be a "bad thing"?

This started when I did a Google Search after a voice search and it just "hung". I forget the error message, but nothing worked. I could not even Power Down or Restart in the normal fashion. I had to hold in the Power button until it powered off and then I restarted. But, afterwards, something happened to the Google Search app [I an guessing...]. It seemed as if was not installed. Any ideas about what happened? I have powered down the phone before when it hung during a boot, but it always powered up OK.

EDIT: I think I used Link2SD Plus on the Google Search app. But, i don't know why the would have any effect?

I have no idea, but system apps shouldn't be moved to external sd. That can cause unwanted bugs. You should really only be moving user apps and data.

Yeh, I just checked the Google Search app in Link2SD Plus and it's in the USER category. I'm guessing that confirms that I must have use Link2SD Plus on it for sure. Although, I have not idea how it "seemingly" went MIA.

Can someone please upload the gallery apk and odex please can't download whole rom for just 2 files right now .. Thanks :-D

Followed steps as so. Apparently i downloaded a "(bad)" version of the xperion rom so when i flashed it, it did not finish and it aborted the installation. I rebooted and thought i would just be able to continue the steps; the stock rom booted up, ut lg setup wizard would not stop force closing. Tryed flashing xsetup, did not work lol. So figured oh my backup is saving the day. NOPE! In the process of restoring said backup, it ends up saying could not mount/data or something like, so im assuming its a incomplete restore if any. Lg setup wizard still broken and the phone is virtually usele :c can someone help me please?

Here's a guide to restore the phone back to stock 12b fimware...

Unbrick/Unroot/Factory Restore - Android Creations

It's late so I won't be able to stick around, but it's fairly easy to restore with the guide.

Good luck. :)

Mine had done the same thing. In your cwm it should be able to format data, then factory reset then restore your backup.

trapaholic408, resetting defaults (VOL DOWN + POWER) worked wonders for me when I was stuck in such situation.
After resetting default, it'll put you right into recovery.
On my device I was unable to mount /system or /data from this, but just rebooting system then rebooting to recovery (usually through adb) worked like a charm, and just restored a backup.
