Root [MetroPCS] [ROM][F6] Xperion ROM **Updated 2/11/2015**

Thanks ;)

Hmmm not sure what you mean. When you wipe data you will loose all your settings and user apps.

What I do is backup my user apps with titanium backup and I use LG Backup for my messages and call logs. After installing the rom I restore my titanium and lg backups.

Thanks I guess I have to backup...I thought maybe I can install on top of xperion without wipe so it could update the rom and keep everything intact...but I will follow your lead and use both apps :D

ROM Updated

8/19/2014

Changes:
  • Adjusted recovery shortcut in settings menu since we now also have TWRP recovery
  • Added SuperSU shortcut in settings menu
  • Added Xperion ringtone and notification
  • Added unsecured kernel with init.d and other features
  • Removed Nova shortcut from settings menu for those that want to use other launchers (nova still included in rom)

Instructions:
  1. You can install the rom right over any other rom available, I made it easier and more noob friendly to install. Follow the new instructions listed. That's it.

Ok I added the LG stock browser back in to the new rom update for those that want it.

If you already updated yesterday or earlier today, then here's a flashable zip of the lg browser alone...

LG Stock Browser

;)

Is there a command to remove the SuperSU from settings menu? This isn't a ROM request, just wanting to remove for sake of security, mainly in case of theft. I usually hide SU so that it can't be found by app drawer/google search.

Thank you GameTheory this looks like the best update yet! There may be other ROMs with more customization now but ATM this is the only custom ROM for this phone that is 100% stable and also seems to be the fastest. Great work GT!

I have experienced one very very minor issue with the previous version of this ROM. I installed and set up root external to internal from the play store and it worked for a little while but then nothing would download (obviously this was an issue with the app and not your ROM). After I uninstalled it and rebooted I was still having this problem so something must have been left over.
The small issue I experienced with the ROM was that when I did a simple factory reset in recovery the home button would no longer work so I had to re flash the ROM. I have had to do this a couple other times too but I don't remember why I factory reset the other times. You can look into what causes this or not either way I am happy with this ROM and I hope it doesn't sound like I'm complaining. I'm just reporting a very minor issue. Whether you address this or not I am very thankful for your hard work.

Typically for major changes like int-to-ext mods you need to reverse them before flashing/restoring anything. This isn't really a ROM issue, it's something you will experience with any ROM. Always read before you do anything if you're unsure of the effects.

You are correct the downloads not working has nothing to do with the ROM. My point was that any time I have factory reset while using this ROM, the home button stops working(for me anyway), no matter what the reason for the factory reset. I even tried resetting after a fresh install just to rule out the possibility that anything else might be causing the home button to stop working but it still happened.

Using the updated ROM I am not able to download files from the internet. I can not even copy files from my Google drive to the phone. I have to go back to the old ROM until this is fixed.

I understand that you and others are able to download with out problems but I cannot. I been trying for two days.

You really need to provide much more detail. i.e. Are your other devices connecting to the internet? Do you need to do any configuration on your phone in order for it to connect? Mobile Data, WiFi, etc. Break it down so someone can help analyze what's going on.

I can connect to the Internet via WiFi. I just cannot download anything. I just installed the rom, connect to my wifi, and then tried downloading something. Again I am able to surf the internet with no problem. I think the problem may be with the download folder. When I tried to change to my backgroud. I go to gallery where I can see my photos from my Google account. In other ROMs it will download it to the download folder. I get an error everything I try to do this with this image.

I have to use TWRP to install the image because Clockwork would just loop during boot up. I was trying to see if I could reproduce the problem in Clockwork but I cannot get into it. This was the same problem with the previous ROM. If someone has any suggest on how I can get this to boot with Clockwork I would appreciate it. I am able to use other ROMS in clockwork without problems.

I do not use ADB commands. I tried to only use my computer to only copy roms to my SD card. I just installed the image from the recovery boot. I have not had any problems installing roms as long as I was using the the correct recovery rom (TWRP or Clockwork). The latest update is the first time I ran into a problem with downloads. I always format everything but my SD card before applying a rom. This way I know I am not inheriting a problem from the previous rom.

I second that. I can download just fine and I can also transfer files from google drive. Worked on both wifi and lte.

Can you upload one more file if it's not to much to ask? The camera on CM11 sucks horribly so i was wondering if i could flash the camera from the Xperion Rom or at least a tutorial on how to get it. Thank you in advance if you cannot do it.

The camera from this rom will not work on cm11. Just look for a camera you like on the play store.

Will this Xperion Rom go to 4.4.4? Or is it possible? If it is you sir will have the most stable/best rom in opinion you do right now regardless but, i like the CM11 4.4.4 layout
