Root [MetroPCS] [ROM][F6] Xperion ROM **Updated 2/11/2015**

ROM Updated

Changes:
  • Adjusted recovery shortcut in settings menu since we now also have TWRP recovery
  • Added SuperSU shortcut in settings menu
  • Added Xperion ringtone and notification
  • Added unsecured kernel with init.d and other features
  • Removed Nova shortcut from settings menu for those that want to use other launchers (nova still included in rom)

Instructions:
  1. You can install the rom right over any other rom available, I made it easier and more noob friendly to install. Follow the new instructions listed. That's it.

Looks great! A couple of quick questions:
1. What is "unsecured kernel"?
2. I've been using the "Loki" CWM. Are there any advantages with TWRP?

2.TWRP looks better, it seems faster on restoring backups.. well atleast for me, and it is always successful to boot into recovery unlike the other recoveries

Wow you must be bored since you went digging for that lol. :p This is one of the reasons why I try not to respond to requests. That was my mistake for responding to your post that time. Funny thing is I added it cause I remembered you asked. Plus I had to add something in place of nova shortcut.

Yes sir full wipe, and no more need to be on any specific firmware to flash. Can just flash over any other rom.
 
I installed the updated version, now my Home button does nothing. any reason you can think of why? I have gone to recovery and wiped and reinstalled several times. same result. Fixed the problem. Yeaaaaaa

That's not an unsecured kernel. Loki patch is just to bypass the locked bootloader. Unsecuring a kernel is something different. Please google it.

I never restore nandroid data on a rom update to avoid bugs. I restore apps with titanium and messages/call logs with LG backup.

yeah i realized i was actually referring to the loki instead of kernel :p but oh well he gets the idea :)

Yeah I left the browser out since people have different choices of browsers they like. (chrome, firefox, opera, dolphin etc etc)

By chance do you have the stock browser in an apk? I prefer that one the most actually i think you should leave it because, people can just disable it if i am correct
 
Can I update this ROM by installing the zip on top of the current ROM...like a dirty install...I hate to do everything all over again...Thanks again for all your work

I'm not going to disrespect all the Devs putting in work...but I nominate Spherion in the F6 Hall of Fame !!!

Yeah full wipe and flash for this one. Haha I googled Spherion just to make sure you wasn't talking about something else. :p Thanks bro, much appreciated. ;)

I'm about to update before I do...I won't lose any settings or exposed stuff ? My phone is jacked like HGH...
