well, there's always satellite......<shudder>

I had to use this method to get back to stock and it worked very well. The phone was bootlooping w/every ROM I tried to flash and I wiped dalvik and cache and factory reset 3 times and it bootlooped. Finally tried this thread and got it back to stock at 2 am and put it back in my wife's purse. Lesson learned. Don't try to root a refurb that just arrived today that's not yours! :p

Thank you !!!!!!!!! my phone wasnt working (just for texting and calls , no apps) and after I followed this is working again !! Thank u so much!

Thank you hroark! I spent 3 weeks lurking and learning and this post was what I used to do it. One thing you might put in the OP is to use the odin that comes in the zip! I knew that I needed it and didn't see it listed in the downloads so I went and found what turned out to be the old version... the old version stalled on with the <e- big partition!!> fault. I spent quite a while going through your troubleshooting steps before I noticed the odin extracted in the folder with the tars. Ack. A "coffee" is coming - this phone is absurd without root.

Does anyone know if Odin works on ubuntu? Or would I just have to use VirtualBox to run it on windows?
I tried getting Odin working in Windows 7 Pro as Vmware guest on a Ubuntu host with no luck. Couldn't get the usb port to show up properly.

Hey guys, first time poster, long time lurker. Just odin'd in the rooted FA19 image from the first page. EVerything seems to be working great, except for my wifi. The phone wont pick up a signal from it beyond seeing the ssid. I saw somewhere up in this thread someone mentioned using the fa19 image with the ejo6 baseband. would this fix my issue? if so, please cater to my slight noobness, how do I use the ejo6 baseband with the fa19 image?

Hi

I honestly do not think anybody is going to be able to help you with this

The Prevail is meant to be used on Boost Mobile only

It is possible to get it to work on another Sprint MVNO if you modify enough of the files, but to get it to work on a CDMA carrier that is not on Sprints network, I just would not know how to do that.

You flashed the FA19 image, a lot of people complain about the new FA19, saying the baseband does not work so well, so you may want to try the EJ06 image, you can use the pre-rooted image
