Root Odin (Return phone to Stock/Factory)

root is still broken in the rooted FF19 image. titanium backup freezes at "asking for root rights" and superuser just forcecloses.

I'm going to download fe16 and ff19, and use the phone.tar from ff19 with everything else from fe16. will edit my post and report back.

^ did that. root works, but the phone doesnt think its updated. not long after first boot I got the update notification. again, this was using fe16 rom zip with the ff19 phone.tar

Run any outdated stock and you will get update notifications unless you trick your phone into not doing so. There are several ways to do this. Search is your friend for finding a method that works best for you.

works if you do an su in ADB first. I'm still trying to track down why that is. I think it may be a bug in the new superuser.apk but I'm not sure
 
MaNiMaL to the rescue!

I fixed the root problem, it's in /system/xbin/su. But I replace /system/app/Superuser.apk as well. I just used the ones from the FE16 image and presto.

I'm putting together HAR2.MaNiMaL now. Sorry Kouma I'm just mod'ing yours.

If anyone would like to host it msg me with somewhere to upload it. I don't have cloud storage and not really interested in it.
 
eh, flashing ff19 with the fe16 phone.tar and then replacing ff19 refernces in build.prop with fe16 effectively gives you ff19 + the fe16 modem, root access, and no update notifications.
 
Ok, I've got a fix for everyone. It's ff19 odin root image, then my mod'ed HAR2.MaNiMaL. Which is just the fe16 /system partition with a new build.prop.

I took out a lot of the bloatware, if you'd like a copy msg me somewhere to upload it.
 
does odin have the ability to make a rom image of what's in my phone? So I load odin, can I make a copy of my phones rom image as it is right then instead of using the root above?

Yes you can I don't remember where it is when I find it ill post it. unless somebody else knows where it is you're more than welcome to post it.
