Root Odin (Return phone to Stock/Factory)

yes, the new image that you make. it will have all you need. cwm backups are easy and great but if really mess things up this will get you back to just like a cwm backup.

I'm new to android and this forum. Maybe I'm being dumb, but where is the ODIN file in the zip. Can't find one. All .tar files, no .exe.

if you are referring to the fe19 image, i think in his haste to get it out to the public, he forgot to include it in the zip

just simply download one of the other images (ej06, fa19, etc)
and use the copy of odin included inside

No problem, they don't have Odin in them like the other images do, I slapped them together pretty quick. I'm not even 100% sure the rooted image has full rood capability. I think they may have blocked it from working in the kernel image.

no, this is a utility for installing firmware on your phone, ClockWorkMod Recovery is the custom recovery that Odin allows you to install.

also this is currently the only way to achieve root with this phone.

Odin is the alpha and omega when it comes to samsung phones.

if you screw the phone up, and it still turns on, USUALLY Odin can save it

did kouma pull his files?!?!?!?!?! (or block access to us?)
i get the same thing... me thinks this could have something to do with kroark's departure... :(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(

i also have all of everything but can't pass them on without an account of some sort, guess dropbox,
but don't know how.

I tried downloading FF19 rooted and it's giving a message stating archive is not readable and asking if I would like to try a password with keyfile. It's not too big of a deal because I had already downloaded the one hroark13 had posted. but wanted the ops file (presuming it had been updated from last one?).

Mine said it was an archive I couldn't open.

I think that the OPS file is a list of the partitions particular to the Prevail and the file has not changed since Hroark posted it.

Question now... is someone going to step up and start a new ODIN thread now that hroark13 is leaving?
well if he leaves and doesn't take this thread it will be here and if he does most of us have enough saved to help others out. and for development, we all have to do the best we can.
