*Steven note: As I said in an earlier post, Verizon HAS to put everything out on the table. It doesn't mean it's a done scenario. KEEP THE FAITH, BRETHREN! :D
Thanks Steven. I'll step back from the ledge for the moment. Amazon Wireless shows the AT&T Samsung GSII Skyrocket as backordered for 1-2 weeks. Had it been available now, there's no telling what I would have done. heh :o

I hate to be pessimistic but the worst thing about this whole situation is that Google will probably never trust VZW with another nexus device... I may be wrong, and hopefully I am, but this is turning into a mess and allot of people will now be waiting for a different 2012 device.

just another reason i want it so bad. i could easily see Google taking the nexus line back to T-mobile after this debacle, so this may be the one and only VZ nexus. honestly, i wish they would just bring back google.com/phone and sell the things themselves. i am willing to bet we would have them in our hands already if that were the case.

Yeah I am really surprised Samsung is OK with giving VZW the exclusive rights to the GNex in the US and then letting them sit on it for ~a month after the estimated release date.

They are losing sales to the Rezound and RAZR and are going to have to compete with people deciding to wait (stupidly) for the stuff they see at CES.

Stupidly, because it probably won't be out until 6 months after that. But still...

Just put the ICS rom on my fascinate and it is awesome. I can't wait to see ICS on the 4.65 on the Nexus. This is by far the most excited I have ever been about flashing a rom on my phone. Usually I'm a flash-o-holic but this thing is staying on here. Very impressed with the UI.

Just now via twitter...

@PydePypper: We have a winner updated and fully booted like a charm. Lets hope the radio update helps on some better battery life still

@PydePypper: @P3Droid Agreed...... seems to have better signal strength from wht I've seen while checking at home on the past updates. finally under -100

Looks like our GNex is having connuctivity problems...:(

True story. Ask anyone who has a thunderbolt/bionic how waiting on a phone announced at CES worked out for them. :o

Is it only for the Fascinate?

Ok guys and gals, i'm finally back (as if i was offline for long, only since 5pm EST) i left work at 5 and only got home around 7:10 horrible traffic due to rain and rush hour, got home and had to do some more work so i'm finally on after 3 hours of offline time :-D, so who wants to update me on when the new pre-order date is and don't forget to tell me what the new release date is, i think the most recent rumor was December 8th of 2035?

Well if there are not issues with MyVerizon, and no issues with BUA, it means it is Google/Samsung's problems. Now maybe Verizon is being nitpicky, but it seems its not quite as dire as if Verizon were holding it up for marketing or their own apps... Just sayin.

I don't see how everyone can keep calling this a mess or botched. All the botching has come from rumors and 'leaked' pictures. Verizon said end of year and we still have a month before we can make such claims.

I am sure there have been and will be lessons learned in all this and all parties will see this as a huge success in the end with lessons to take from for the next release.

they pushed it back more. it was discovered that letter "L" doesn't work on the keyboard so they have to wait for an update and then followed by a month of testing.

We've done consulting work for Verizon to the tune of just shy of eight figures.

The phones however, have nothing to do with the work we've done with them. They're a favor.

LOL...I wouldn't think that VZW would give faulty phones still undergoing testing to a business acquaintance for a "favor!" Thus, I'm sure now that the delay (as we interpret it) has really nothing to do with any bugs or "further testing."

My desk at work has horrible LTE reception, so connectivity improvements are nice. My thunderbolt is constantly cycling LTE/3G/1X/No Data.. all day long.

I'm really hoping I don't get stuck with this razr now...if it wasn't for me being locked into 10GB of data at a decent price after my work discount I would switch back to sprint before my 14 days are up..

All right folks, move along. . . . nothing to see here . . . . move along. . . . just another dead date. . . . . move along. . . . .:D

Production (release) units in the States 11/30, release the week of 12/12, _maybe_ (a big maybe) pre-release the week of 12/5. You all should have LTE/CDMA units in your hands no later than 12/15.

good luck

I'm going to give Verizon until December 9th to at the very least announce the release date for this phone. If that doesn't happen I'll strongly consider buying the Nexus outright in Canada and going off-contract on T-Mobile for their $30 100 minutes, "unlimited" (5 GB of 3G+) plan.
