HeHeHe. So true.

I've got 733 hp to the road, 725 ft-lbs tq, and racing suspension in my '07 Shelby GT500. I think we need to set up a race. :D

Back on topic: Someone mentioned the vzw GNex will be 32GB version only. Do we have confirmation on that?

I would think it would be smart to offer both a 16 and 32 gb version. They could sell the 32 for $299 and sell the 16gb at 199 or 250 for those who dont want to pay 300 and may not need the 32 gbs of storage.

They would be allowed to sell it as long as their is no "hard street date" that verizon set in which they could not sell before. I am sure once best buy gets stock they will be able to sell them. Most likely they wont get stock until it launches in verizon anyway.

Yeah. I just can't ever figure out if there are ever hard dates with Verizon devices?? Even when there seems to be one you hear stories of peeps getting them a Walmart's and such where no one knew about the hard date and it never seems to be a big deal. Yet other products with hard dates, even at Walmart, are rarely ever found until the street date.

What I find odd about all three of these devices is that they are all apparently coming about the same time yet they aren't trying to capitalize on that fact. Everyone talks about this fact being a big issue, but if VZW just embraced it as a plus rather than minus they probably could draw record crowds and sales into their stores on a launch day for all three.

I'm not going to lie, when you turn your HTC phone on and see the clock with the active weather animation it still gets me going. Is there any widget or app or whatever that I can add to the nexus to mimic that weather animation? Thanks in advance.

I don't have that clock. If I can't hide the clock in the status bar then I take the big clock off my home page. I use Beautiful Widgets and their weather animations.

Not to spark another pentile debate, but is this really all we can expect from an HD screen? I'm very disappointed that I'm going to have to "settle"...I'd rather have crappy battery life and an awesome screen. Apparently an awesome screen just doesn't exist these days unless it's on an iPhone. I don't know...I may be looking at the HTC Vigor more closely when these things finally hit stores. My OG spoiled me!

I can't figure out why 2+ years after the release of the OG, that ALL "standards" aren't shockingly better. People like you and me comparing all new phones to our beloved OGs...it really says alot about both the original and the (not) state of the art improvements.

Edit: Yes flame me for not mentioning 4G LTE, dual cores, etc....but Magdelaine is right on about the display because that is the first experience the user will notice, and the display quality will influence how a user thinks about all the other features.

I wanna be there for that race! :D

I don't believe we have any confirmation yet. Just hopes and dreams and wishes.

And I'd bet my Corvette is much faster than you Mustang, and it turns. And I also bet there's some fully tubbed Honda Civic dragster that's faster than both. :D

So it never ends.

Thats why I leave my truck looking stock, so I can pick my own races.

I agree with you. I mean launching 3 superphones on the same day could be a huge day for verizon. I mean if you are worried about the returns launch them the same day so everyone can play with them all in store and then decide. It isnt going to take away any sales it will in fact add more sales. I mean i am going to get a phone whether I have to wait or not it just makes more sense to get them out now and capitalize on people's wants for these phones.

It'd be close. I'm at 620/610 on conservative tune. But also have 400lbs less to move. Plus tires that can actually put that power down (which is a huge weakness of the GT500, which you've probably already addressed).

In the end, running 10.1 @ 138mph. I'm getting a meth kit that should also put me over 700 and hopefully into the 9s. It would probably gag in the Colorado air, though.

And no, there is no official confirmation that the GNex will have 32GB. Right now, it's wishful thinking. The Samsung/Google release indicated it will come in both versions (16/32), but didn't go further than that. With releases of the GSM version at 16GB, many are thinking the LTE version will be 32GB.

I'm not convinced this screen will suck. Folks here have been saying Pentile at a higher resolution will look good. It's something to keep an eye on.

I figure I'll pre-order and scrutinize it for 2 weeks then decide.

So, I spent the morning getting ADB set up on my Win7 machine since my previous PC bit it. Got fastboot set up too, ready to push the inevitable recovery img. Bring on the Nexus, I am ready.

I know its a little off topic, but why did none of the Steve Jobs pics show up on the GNex, but they did on the iPhone in those pictures?

From all the videos with hands on it didn't seem anywhere near as bad as the atrix, droid 3, bionic or x2.

Keeping my fingers crossed for the 32GB for us!!

I guess I need to start figuring out how to do this ^ and soon. (A bit skeerd tho)

I'm in Jersey, you're in Jersey. Hmmmm.

Already saw that and thought the same thing. :D

I noticed the same thing. Servers can read the browsers identity, an deliver different content.

I'm all for offering mobile websites, but not for customizing the data delivered. In the end, I guess it's all about the amount of revenue one can make, and they'll do anything possible to make a buck.

You guys are making my 2011 M3 sound like a turtle. Stop it! :)

All these blogs are basing this 11/2 date around the Amazon site, which no one knows if its 100% real or not.

Exactly.
For a time, this thread was one of the most definitive sites for information. Journalists took the leaks from here, and wrote thier own articles, which then people here linked too and thought was confirmation. Instead, just a vicious circle of rumors.

It is... haha j/k. Yeah I had an 03 Z06, stock, that car was awesome. But had to give it up for a 4 door practical car when Baby #1 was born. Driving a 2010 Mazdaspeed 3, Not a big fan of the looks, but it sure is fun to drive.

I don't have a great car for speed or anything but the one bone of contention in my family is that I refused to get a 4 door. Went from an old jetta to a Cherokee (god, I miss that beast), to my focus. All 3 manual and 2 door.

Please let this phone's release date be given soon. (there, I made my post on topic again)
