I am trying to get mine to stay away. I am using GV and once in a while I get the v30 error. I go to Settings>applications>manage apps and clear data for vvm. It stays gone for a while, but not forever so far

This is how I got mine working when I was using Kings GB, I did the same thing on CM7 RC4 and it worked for me.

My question is, I got VVM working but prefer GV so I switched to GV and left VVM installed but not selected. I still get the v30 error. Should I uninstall or freeze vvm or will the errors still be there because they come from the system and not the vvm app?

That's a really good question. Why not freeze vvm first and see if the v30 error continues, if it does, try uninstalling it.

I know you prefer GV but IMO the errors are annoying enough to make the switch.

Already frozen. :)

I have gotten used to GV since most of my current rom flashes have been AOSP. I will see how it is, I might just go back to VVM though if it doesn't take care of it. Thanks
 
GV doesn't use or need VVM to work, it should be ok to un-install. I personally prefer VVM to GV and aside from the time i tried it have little experience with GV. I was under the impression that the V30 error was a result of VVM, so it seems that if it isnt there it shouldnt come up... theoretically anyway..
 
Went back to some old roms over the past 48 hours and just couldn't take it.....had to come back to this one

I have had the same issues flashing new versions of the Sense roms.....stick with them long enough to figure out I want AOSP back and nandroid it is.
 
Started getting random reboots tonight. Been running this set up for days with no issue on the same kernel. Flashed back to Mikfroyo to see if it is a hardware issue.....so far no reboot on Mik.

No. Been using the same settings and kernel for a week with no issues. No new installs that I know of.....couple of app updates today. just started out of the blue. wiped, nandroided back to mikfroyo and no problems. wiped and restored to Kings GB.....no issues so far but its only been 15 minutes :)

Its been an hour and no reboot. Not sure what happened but it seems to be gone now.
 
You havebto sign up for it at the swype website I believe. Have tried restoring you backup or did you have the HTC version.
 
I keep a copy of swype.apk and the corresponding lib.so file on my sd card and push it to system/app whenever I need it. Just copied it and it's lib file out of a rom that had it.

An app update actually kept causing me to reboot on a cm7 base rom. Cleared market data and all was well.
