:D well its pretty cold at the mo so hard to tell :D

its the standard vibrate when shutting down/rebooting i think.
not an issue for me

It's not an "issue" for me - it's just something I'd like to disable if possible. My previous version of Android (HTC dev 2.3 build) didn't do it and I never wished it did, so I'd like to be able to turn this vibration off or install an application that allows me to do this, just as "Silent Boot" used to stop that annoying startup sound.

Hi was just wondering if you plan to create a ICS ROM like this one in the future? I I know the ICS build is still at Beta stage but just interested to see if you plan to create an ICS build with lots of space as it is a massive bonus! :D and also is there an app that would allow me view these forums?

Cheers

ahhhh, thats because the 2.3.3 ruu and infact most sense 2.3 roms have a system call "fastbooting" which means it hibernates rather than powers off so it is quicker to boot up (similar to a blackberry).
this is a sense feature

With fastboot disabled it didn't vibrate either.

odd, does for me. just tried it
eitherway im not sure how you would get rid of it

Very strange - my girlfriend is running 2.3 on her Desire so I just disabled fastboot and powered it down. It did a tiny vibrate - like a haptic feedback buzz - and powered down. Since putting dGB on mine it does a short vibration at startup and a long (about a second) vibration at power down. Not an "issue", just unnecessary and annoying.

It's standard on vanilla android.

Youll find it in most aosp roms if not all. This feature does not reflect my work on this Rom so I would prefer if this discussion could be brought to an end please.

Thank you

Another query with the dGB Rom I'm afraid. The stock browser doesn't seem to automatically wrap the text when you zoom in on a non-mobile site. There are alternative browsers which have this capability, but they're not automatic which is what a lazy man needs.

Petty? I dare say it is but this is the first time I've never had this function and browsing on my phone is noticeably clunkier and more awkward.

So, any way around this?

Cheers all

J

I usually double tap to zoom, in which case it does reflow.

In fact I just tested 4 browsers (stock, boat, dolphin mini and miren) and none of them seems to automatically reflow when I pinch to zoom in (but zooming out they do). Switching orientation also triggers reflow. But because I always use the double tap rather than pinch I'd not really noticed - all reflow when you tap to zoom.

I find Xscope works fine for me ;-)

I hate to say it Dan.. But I'm not a fan of that browser. It seems very heavy and not as slick as I'd like it, and it would definitely end up getting on my nerves. Sorry to be so dismissive!
The stock browser is perfect for me. I just want the auto text wrapping options. As the browser is the same as all the other Rom's I've tried, I'm led to believe it's something a little more integral that performs the text-wrapping that is not present on the rather wonderful dGB Rom!

Sounds like I may have to live with it. Bummer.

hi jon
no worries :-) its all personal prefs with this stuff.
I find thee reflowing in the stock browser makes me a bit nauseous :-\

It certainly is, Dan. I'm all about lightweight and clutter free on my phone.. And the stock browser ticks that box but I just want the re-flow back :(. Ah well, this time in a few weeks I wont even notice.

Can't remember. I removed it because it was preventing the source from compiling and as I'm in the UK (uk radio is crap) I thought it best to remove it rather than fix it (I would never use it and this is a "personal" Rom.

Not everything removed is purely for space. I removed a lot of pointless code in a bid to give the quickest user experience possible. Something I hope I have come close to achieving
