Root [ROM][Beta][FINAL] CM7 Android For Triumph [Tickerguy Edition, Kernel: mine] 11/19

Just rooted and installed TG CM7 on my moms triumph...she's pleased as punch.

Is anyone else noticing that the 4 bottom buttons flicker a bit now? It's kind of like an older digital clock, when you look straight at it things are ok but if it moves or gets into your peripheral vision you can see the flicker. The stock ROM definatly didn't do this I made sure to check before doing the install on my moms phone. Not a big deal all just interesting... anyway to put a few more hertz into those LEDs?

Turn the brightness setting up. It's the PWM control; you can change it in the CM7 settings for the backlight.

This might be coincidental, but I will occasionally get a reboot when there is a lot of data traffic. I can keep an uptime for many days on normal use (139 hours at the moment), but when I tether my laptop then run some torrents for a while, it reboots
I've found that when I'm on my mobile data with a lot of traffic that it tends to get pretty warm. Maybe it's just overheating?

My port has completed; I no longer have active Virgin service.

I am building an 0.8 release which incorporates the Wifi tether, and should be able to to more-or-less test it (at least to see if it comes up); it should work.

I can still build for this phone, but soon won't have it any more. Once I know 0.8 boots and runs I'll post it up here and push the changes back; it's basically just what Isaac did to his repo with the tethering additions.

I haven't done anything else - haven't seen a need, given how well 0.7 has been running.

EDIT: Sorry, I didn't fully read your post before replying.

Still no joy on the Hotspot.... does not start. May take a better look at it in the next few days but it blows on the start attempt.

Thank you! I agree I have absolutely no issues with the current build and am 100% pleased with it. It can't get much better than this so anything else added will be just a bonus. :)
Which reminds me, anyone having issues: do a fresh install and remember to flash GAPPS as well. This build is virtually flawless. Haven't had random rebooted or the need for manual ones in weeks.
Thanks again, TG. Appreciate you continuing work for 0.8

hey is anyone curious on how to make an inductive charging coil for the triumph i looked around and cant find one. if any one is able to make one from scratch would be awesome. i have two ideas. one is a charging case that fits on the phone and the other is a battery that gets the charge directly. here is a few links.

mini how-to to _fake_ front camera for Google+ Hangouts - CyanogenMod Forum

This is a fairly kludgy process but seems to work just fine

Can we just have this put into the next build by default? It allows for the front facing camera to work in google+ hangouts and I imagine in other things as well maybe?

I second having this applied to the next build. I use a Mac (ppc yes I know its old 10.5 OS) and have no way of pushing this to my device. I know this may be your last upcoming build but it would be greatly appreciated if you could incorporate this in Tickerguy. I appreciate all the hard work you and Isaac have put into making this possible and I thank you! :-)

I have been this CM7 port for the last few days. Thanks , TG!
I am getting Sleep of Death (SoD) after taking the phone off charger and letting it sleep for a while. The phone wont wake up or respond to any of the keys. I have to take out the battery to reboot the phone. My clock settings are default CM7 settings.

Any suggestions?

It's already been done. I did it awhile back: https://github.com/ikarosdev/CM7_Triumph_bug_tracker/issues/26

Thought I report my phone finally crashed yesterday. It went blank and needed a battery pull to bring it back. Just before the crash, I used voice commands to "navigate to ...", then "map of..." and in a few minutes it went blank. I'm using CM7 B.07 since release. I've had a few FCs, switch airplane mode on and off to get back connections, but nothing this severe.

Thanks for all your hard work on this Tickerguy. It's a shame to see you go but we're all glad you made the ROM super stable before switching services.

Hopefully someone as skilled as you steps in to port ICS when the time comes.

past two mornings, I woke up to the phone "searching for service". triggering airplane mode on and off fixes it. don't think it's anything with this build in particular, since my last triumph on stock rom did it too.

a few times this past week, I also needed to pull the battery since it stopped responding to the power button. but again, it happened with my other triumph on stock rom as well.

As to the battery life when using this rom for me it's the same as when using stock. Which is HORRIBLE!! I get maybe 5 or 6 hours. I did the full factory reset data and system wipe and a dalvic wipe as well before installing this rom. What could be the issue?

When tickerguy stops issuing updates to this rom is it just going to die or is someone else going to pick up development? To my knowledge this is the only port of cm7 to the triumph.

Did you reset the battery stats?

Thanks again for this ROM! Super duper awesome.
Just wondering. I tried zdune's cm7 patcher to get a centered clock with no joy. He says maybe cause we're on unofficial ROM. Anybody has a tinker with this? Thanks :)

Has there been any progress on getting the official CM7 team to take this up? It seems to be near perfectly functional, and that way we can continue getting builds even though Tickerguy's retiring it.

On a fresh flash of CM7, I would still get 2 or 3 a day.

By fresh flash, you mean you did factory reset and format /system? I would like to know coz I have random reboots also on B.06 and B.07. But I didn't do a factory reset and format /system when upgrading to B.07 (coz too lazy to re-configure the phone.) So, I am debating whether I would try doing a clean flash and see if I still get the reboots...
