Root [ROM][Beta][FINAL] CM7 Android For Triumph [Tickerguy Edition, Kernel: mine] 11/19

ok, have another question, everything seems to be faster, and smoother, except my ADW launcher, so is it an ADW thing? What do you guys use?
 
For whatever reason... My Triumph has issues bluetooth tethering issues. Like every minute or so it disconnects from my iPad. :/
 
Slider: Notifications are all orange in color. Other than a screw-up they always have been.

If there's a way to change this it will come through the kernel. It's one of the things I'll look at (PWMing the LED) but my first blush examination said you can't from the user side. If it can be done it's from the kernel side and I have to be careful poking around in there as gpio bus things can, if you're imprudent, destroy devices as actual drive voltage is set through that interface for connected peripherals.

In other words it's manifestly unsafe to poke random bytes into registers on a GPIO controller to try to figure things out, so without documentation you are to some extent as a developer playing with fire looking into these sorts of things.

I've noticed the same issue when connecting the phone to my PC via Bluetooth (i use it for an htpc remote control) - drops every minute or so almost like clockwork.


Things are amazing with the new smartass governor. Not only is battery life markedly improved over previous builds but performance seems better too. Well done!

For the 1st time since I've been installing the updates, last night I had my phone connected to wifi and it went to sleep. When I tried waking it up, all I got was a black screen. I could feel me move the ring to unlock it but it stayed black. I had to remove the battery and place it back in. 1st time I've ever come across the wifi lockup. Just thought I would post this up. Thanks again for all your hard work guys :-)

Yes, I had the same problem for a day or two after installing the 9/27 rom.. It went away after a couple of days though, not sure what was causing it or what fixed it.

Alright I was just wanting to make sure all was normal. Is it also normal for the custom lock sound ( I use car lock) to be real low when phone locks? On stock its loud and when played normal on phone its loud but when used for lock its real low and wasn't before on previous build, not a biggy was just wondering, I played with sound settings but still no increase, and ty again.

Are you sure this is the same as the original wifi lockup issue? The wifi fix would turn the wifi off when you wake the phone up thus eliminating the problem of it being on when the phone wakes. It sounds to me (this is just a guess, as I don't have the issue and can't test it) like it is a different issue altogether. Did you try doing a totally clean install or have you just flashed it all over previous builds?
 
tickerguy: would it be possible to put a link to the github bug list somewhere on the first page of this thread? I just had to go digging around for it and I'm sure most people new to the thread won't know about it.

Might cut down a bit on the 'oh this doesn't work!' 'ya, we know' going on (probably not, but can't hurt to try! :p).
 
Question for my peeps on here who have the latest build running: have you guys got tango or Skype to work correctly for you? I'm not sure if this was addressed yet but I tried the ffc and either got a failed call (skype) or it would hang on a blank screen (tango). I have basically wiped the cache, dalvik cache and formatted the system like I've been doing all along when I updated the system yesterday. I only tried video chat today. Keep up the good work guys!!

I tried the test calls on Skype and Fring, and both showed my face on the FFC. I don't actually have anyone I can do a real test with, but I assume this means it is working for me.
 
I've been tinkering around with this ROM and I can't wait for the final! Not that I'm rushing you, you take all the time you need ticker :) Anyway I was just wondering, does the camera (main camera) still have that weird green blob in low light conditions? I didn't think to check while I was playing with it, and I'm back on stock ROM for now and flashing it back would be a bit of a production to check one little detail.
 
Ok. Here's what i have to report.
1- GPS worked flawless for me.
2- FFC with Skype works, though skype throws you out very often.
3- choppy flash video, 'very annoying' .You tube is Ok.
4- wifi going off when screen off is very annoying .
5- whats already known.' Proximity issues, noisy headset.'
6- slow orientation change when on Browser.

- however, the rom is good enough to be my daily.
Im getting almost glad to have purchased this phone thanks to you Tickerguy and Isaac.!!
 
Ok so the sound problem i posted bout earlier has been fixed, i googled the problem and downloaded a app called audio manager and looked at the hidden settings and System Volume was set at 5/7 so i cranked it up to 7 and now the phone locks loud and even the in call is louder than it was, not sure how to go bout fixing the volume without app but figure i share incase anyone else was having some low volume issues, app is free btw.

EDIT: and 1 quicky question..how do u get the smartassv2 to stick on reboot, i have the check mark applied for on boot but it always resets to ondemand?
 
Note that I've not been able to reproduce the bluetooth drop problem - at all. And I use this a lot. In fact, I'm typing this from my laptop at my kid's soccer practice ;-)

I wonder why you can't reproduce it and I have the issue all the time.

I'll check back and see.... maybe there is something wrong with my setup.
 
Tickerguy.. thanks for the hard work with the build.. Might be just me but seems with SmartassV2 its a bit peppier then the 9/25 build.

Side question.. do you think that the Triumph will be able to run Ice Cream Sandwich when it comes out next week?

Let me say after seeing the iPhone 4S today It left me quite underwhelmed.. the $40 I pay for Virgin Mobile is great in comparison to the ridiculous expensive phone+data plans for the iPhone. :)
 
holy freaking toledos. I just came back from a 2 week vacation, and all the sudden this phone is a beast! ticker guy,you have reaffirmed my position that if we were in prision i would protect you to the death in the shower.

couple thingsI am having issues with.
GPS fix won't pick up a single bird. 15min, by a huge window. Not 1.
I have been reading, back about 5-7 pages, and I still cannot figure out how to set the smartass2 govener. It's not in the settings, and I'm not quite clear how to flash a different kernal, i'm pretty sure that is what has to be done right?

but bluetooth tehter is working great with my Asus Transformer, so thats a check.
