Root [ROM][Beta][FINAL] CM7 Android For Triumph [Tickerguy Edition, Kernel: mine] 11/19

Hey I'm not sure if it would be considered a bug therefore I am not posting it on github but a few apps (google goggles, barcode scanner, and tango) have not been working on the 10/2 build. None of them are essential to me and I choose to stay with CM7 because of its superiority to stock froyo on so many levels. I just figured I'd put it out there to see if anyone else had any issues with said apps or others. So with that I say thanks ticker and eagerly await for the next update you may have :D.

That's weird... Goggles, barcode scanner, and Tango all work for me.

Anyone else having trouble flashing the new CWM from isaac? I have tried multiple times and it says "Installation aborted." and stops. I'm using CWM 4.0.0.9 and trying to flash CWM 5.0.2.3. What's up? Am I doing it wrong?

from what isaac said in streetpounder's thread for the OC kernel for CM7 if you flash that kernel over this build the FFC will not work any longer..... so it looks like you have just basically stayed on the 9/25 build..... other than maybe the 3g issues.

Indeed, the oc kernal caused FCs on all related video and camera functions... so I reinstalled the Alpha 06 Rom after a standard cache and dalvik cache wipe only. I did not install the OC kernal this time... I still get an occasional fc on the camcorder/camera at times; but both the front camera (in part as stated by Tickerguy) and rear camera do work in between fc's. Maybe this is in part do to me not doing a clean format and install but....once my 3G initially on first boot went from white to green (it took a while after first boot including airplane and data toggling) it has since been green and available at all times including subsequent reboots. The speed running at stock 1024MHz isn't bad and quadrant tests at 1GHz are in the 2500 range for me under performance Governor. The touchscreen seems just as responsive and while I miss the extra speed of the oc; I'll try working with stock speeds for a while and let you know if my 3G fails to wake up (if it ever goes to sleep). Cheers!

PS...love the unlocking ring...lol

you're not supposed to flash the zip. You need to go into recovery mode. I think its power + vol up or down and drop the recovery.img over the old one

You install the updated CWM the same way you installed the older CWM. You go into recovery mode and copy the recovery.img file over USB. CWM can't install itself!

I did a clean and fresh install of 10/2. I still have the 3G issue of it turning off (or flakiness as some may call). However, I switched my govnener to Smartass v2 and I'm sitting at 80% battery life, and that is with texting here and there, an hour of tethering, and about 10 minutes of talking... which is just SWEET! I'm actually just going to skip charging it tonight, considering it is doing so well. The only thing I'd like to get fixed is the 3G and WiFi thing. (Issac's MIUI port supposedly has the WiFi thing covered.)

I have a very very good feeling that by the end of this month, this will no longer be a "work in progress" it will be a full working ROM. Keep it up man!

No, this ROM has the fix for WIFI.

Ran into an issue today using the 9/25 version of the rom with the OC kernel that Isaac posted.

While trying to watch some Youtube videos at work today I noticed that if the phone stays vertical the video will flicker and flash. The sound is fine and the rest of the screen seems unaffected, just the small portion that shows the video flickers approximately 1-2 times a second. Switching to landscape mode corrects the problem until you go back to the vertical position and it starts up again. From what I can tell it doesn't matter if you are on 3G or WiFi, or if you are watching high or low quality video. Youtube seems to be the only thing I can replicate the flicker with, browser flash video and my videos from the SD card seem to work without issue.

I searched the thread for screen flickering issues with video and nothing popped up so hopefully I'm not reporting something that is already known.

Same problem here with my weather app vids.

There's a known issue with the adreno driver related to this; I'm not sure how fixable it is. The obvious workaround is to use landscape.

Is there any way to have OTA updates later for your builds Tickerguy. I'm really happy with the current build on my phone. The battery life really is amazing now!

Actually, yes. The only thing stopping this is not being included in ROM Manager. The faster Koush adds us to RM, the faster the rest of us can deploy ROMs OTA.

This is actually how I distributed my ROMs before. It's a PITA to have to edit forum threads all the time.

The sooner the better. Is there anyway to speed up the process? LOL

SmartassV2 does appear to have a very significant and positive impact on battery life.....
Okay guys, I must be missing something stupid here...when I go to change the governor, I don't see Smartass...am I doing something wrong, or does smartass just refer to some new routine in all of the governors?

@minus5252... You can change the new lockscreen in the CyanogenMod settings--> Lockscreen--> Style options--> Lockscreen style menu.
Yup, and with the bubbles, you can add one custom app...but with the sliders, you can have if I recall correctly.

I've been trying really hard to keep up here, so bare with me.........I just installed the ROM, and noticed that the light turns green at about 90% of a charge. Is this just a calibration issue?

No, that's what it should do. The Triumph's battery charging circuit (hardware) drops to trickle mode at 90%, and that's what triggers the state change.

I also have question bout the led, are the text message led not green no more, I swore they still were on build before,I tried changing them myself to green in the options but when I do no led lights up for any app like text or im plus, not a buggy was just making sure its normal that itsnot green and we can't change the led color back to green.
