Root [ROM] CM7 TG-Reloaded (Final: 03-25)

Touchscreen has performed flawlessly for me since this last update. Thank you! Also, battery life is fantastic! No complaints here. Great work!!

Hey, is anyone else having an issue completing the download of the new build, or is that just me? Tried about 5 times, no luck. Is there perhaps a mirror?

ROM seems to work fine except for one major issue - the phone is not connecting to Virgin Mobile's network. Going to try clearing data then reflashing. When I initially flashed I only cleared /system, and the two caches.

EDIT: Okay I've cleared data and the phone is still not connecting to the network? Please help?

EDIT 2: The problem might not be the phone itself - someone else in the house has the same carrier and they are getting no signal either. Perhaps tower upgrades in the area....

is anyone else having an issue with the phone rebooting its self after being on the charger then being unplugged? my phone sits for a few seconds then freezes then reboots then after it its all good.

it started happening after I flashed the latest build. is this something anyone else experienced? and if so is there some sort of fix? only thing I did different this time is I didn't wipe anything I just flashed the latest zip over my then current cm7.

not doing overclocking or undervolting all that is set stock when first flashed.

governor is interactive, min cpu 245, max 1024.

Could anyone confirm if auto-dim works with the new rom? i.e., before the screen idles off completely, it should dim for a few seconds, to let you have a chance to bring it back with just a screen touch.

I think auto-dim is some sort of setting in CM's display settings, I just set screen to sleep after 2 mins, usually use the power to turn it off after use anyway.

How do you delete those files?

type into terminal emulator app:

su
mount -o rw,remount /system
rm /system/app/whateverapp.apk

Should ALWAYS wipe cache & dalvik-cache when flashing new ROM, it's really just a simple extra step, and the first boot afterwards takes longer, it keeps your user setting. Don't confuse this with factory reset or wipe /data, which does erase all apps and settings & have to re-setup again.

okay wiped the cache and dalvik, I'll post if the problem persists.

I was under the impression that I didn't need to wipe anything if I was just flashing an update to the rom.

thanks for clarifying.

other than that its great.

MMS isn't working for me on the 3/1 build. Not sure if anyone else is having that problem. My 3g up/down arrows won't light up at all when sending mms, I open another app and they turn on.

The rom keeps getting better and works wonderfully most of the time. Anyone else having issues with the phone being really slow after it has been asleep on Wifi for awhile? Mostly the dialer taking up to 5 minutes to dial a number initially . Also it, seems that sometimes if I reboot the phone I have to reflash the rom etc or it just bootloops.
Finally it seems inconsistent as to whether bluetooth and wifi can be easily on at the same time. Sometimes it works great and other times they turn each other off.

.........
I just tried out these settings. I thought I had mine set pretty well...but these are MUCH better! I have a couple of additions: on the lowest brightness setting, I have the keys set to the lowest setting (4; any lower and they turn off), so that they're not too intrusive at night. On all the higher brightness settings, I just have the keys off since there's enough ambient light to see the keys without backlighting them. Also, since that lowest screen setting of 26 is a little bright when I'm using my phone in bed at night, I use an app from the Market called Screen Filter. It allows you to filter the screen at any percentage to make it less bright. I have it set to a long press of the menu key so I don't have to leave whatever app I'm using in order to turn it on.

New build uploaded, updated graphics driver, up to 2x the framerate (let me know if you notice any game improvements other than just nenamark2 benchmark).

As usual, see post #1 for link & #2 for changelog. Also don't forget to wipe cache & dalvik-cache before flashing (it keeps your apps & settings).

Whyzor your amazing dude!! So in theory the new updated graphics driver should provide better performance to appS or games or overall? or? idk but anyways thanks so much for the continued work on the triumph i love my phone more and more every update! Downloading and updating phone now!

I just ran Quadrant Advance and I notice the FPS on 3D rendering increased at least 50% (this is great). However there was a little loss on 2D FPS at around 10%. All these were run with no data connections or wifi running. I was running on a few background apps so your results might be as good as others. This is an improvement Whyzor. I have not tried the other features yet. I'll report if anything goes funny or unstable.

I'm having the same problem and I haven't updated yet. My girlfriend has a sprint phone and it's been doing the exact same thing. So, it has to be the network. Or sun spots. Whatever.

I forgot to mention I reverted to older code in libhardware_legacy, so let me know if you notice any difference in the wifi, bluetooth, or how they interact together, esp compared to the 03-01 build. My brief testing showed 1 wifi drop, but then worked fine afterwards. It could also be the router side.

I can't use this ROM.
After following the installation instructions, whenever I try to reboot or turn on my phone, it just boots to CWM (v5.0.2.6)
I did:
use a stock Motorola Triumph nandroid backup.
boot to CWM
wipe data/factory reset
format cache
install CM7
install gapps
reboot

And then it just boots to CWM and not CM7.
Thankfully I made a nandroid backup so I can at least use my phone.
Any help?

If it matters, I was able to use Tickerguy's CM7 and MIUI before on my Triumph without any problem.

Make sure it actually flashed without errors, also double check the files md5sum to make sure it isn't corrupted. On last thing to try is, after flashing rom and gapps, pull the battery out for 2 minutes, then make sure to press only power button to turn on.

This happened to me once when trying to install a previous build. This is what I did and it worked. Try downloading the ROM again. Sometimes something gets corrupted when downloading and I noticed that happening when I download via wireless. I never had any issues with wired downloads.

Also, when you do a factory reset, it already formats the cache so no need to do it again after a data/factory reset.... at-least that is my understanding.
