Root [ROM] CM7 with GB kernel by RevNumbers

No need for SBF; I suggest you format system though (don't forget to mount system before applying your backup), and of course, wipe data and cache.

Can I go the other way without sbf to then, Bo?

Edit: my apologies for the wrong info, col. :(

This morning I had an app that needed updating according to the notification bar. I went to the Market and the market must have updated as it required me to once again agree to terms.

Then all of my installed apps no longer appear in the Market app under "My Apps". The apps ARE installed, just not manageable or viewable from within the Market app.

Ideas?

happens to me sometimes. clear data for the market from within apps management and it should resolve it. happened on apex as well.

Yeah, as long as you are going from GB to GB kernel based you should be fine.

Example: ApeX 2.0 RC3 to CM4DX-GB or CM4DX-GB to ApeX 2.0 RC3, etc.

Having major market issues with this ROM. I had problems with this ROM when it first dropped too. Oh well, time to flash something else. Maybe I will pull a Steven and just use blur for awhile.

No Market FC's for me. Did you guys install a Market over a Market update (without removing Market updates)???

Nope. Fresh install of the ROM.

Was not just force closes. Was unable to download apps, and apps also reporting as uninstalled in the my apps section when in fact they were installed.

Not touching this rom again. That's twice its hosed me.

I'm assuming you used the latest Gapps, maybe there is an issue with that. I haven't tried installing the latest Gapps as I haven't had any need to do so.

Using the correct gapps is very important. I found that out the hard way. I used the wrong one, well, an older one, and my market would fc all the time and my wifi wouldn't connect. I downloaded the latest gapps through Rom Manager and all was well after I flashed that copy.

im in one of those positions where its time to resort to stock froyo for the week. Im in DC doing the tourist thing and with this rom my phone is FCing the camera, browser, market, not letting me answer the phone or flat freezing up. Ive also been having an issue with long drawn out redraws when going home. Since nobody else seems to be having them it has to be something ive done.

Just to toss it out, I SBFed to Froyo, installed APEX R3 and then went to CM7DXGB. Good thing ive got all my files with me! There is far too much at the Smithsonian to be rebooting every 5 min. to get back up for a few shots. Tomorrow is AeroSpace day!

FIXED!!!
***Thanks Steven for getting this straightened out for me.***

Help?

I was running P3Droid's rooted .602 and decided to try CM7 again since it worked with the GB kernel now. Downloaded it, wiped data/cache/system and flashed it. Worked fine and I realized I forgot to get the new Gapps. I used D2Bootstrap (obviously I wasn't supposed to?) and am stuck on the red "M." Pulled the battery and was going to SBF but every time I plug in the USB, the green notification lite comes on, the red "M" pops up and RSD Lite doesn't recognize the phone. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

So does anyone know how to kill this charging green led light. It's like having a laser beam shooting into my eyes while trying to go to sleep. Btw, I bought the hdmi dock on Amazon for $18

You might be able to turn it off by using the AdjBrightness app.

I had DroidX Overclock using 30% of battery with RevNumbers and when I flashed Apex, I still showed 18% so decided the problem was probably the app and restored the previous version from TIBU.

Just took it off the battery, but seems good so far.

well i just drained my battery to 0% now, hopefully now my battery life will be better than it was on froyo kernel cause so far, its worse. but i havent checked to see what was causing it.

@Steven

How do you like my unkown caller id pic? :D

I also made it a bit bigger because it was kind of small for me (the incoming/outgoing call pic is larger for all calls, it just happens to be the unknown call png on the screenshot) ;)
