So far, the battery life on the new test build kernel is pretty sweet. Made my usual tweaks with Trickster (CPU 300-1728, Gov Interactive, IO Sched CFQ, TCP Congestion Westwood, Hisped_freq 1728000, etc. and, so far, seems as good as I was getting with Franco and FKU. Will see how it does out in the world all day tomorrow, but I'm liking it so far. :D

I'm glad you're enjoying it!

By the way, LATEST STABLE IS IN THE OP! ENJOY! :p:D:)

Sort of, but that's why I set the default to 300MHz so it saves battery.
Setting it to 300MHz seems cause my min & max freq to not stick. Keeps increasing min to the max. Had it at 960MHz and it didn't happened that often.

Edit: it's stable now

Shouldn't be. It shouldn't affect the min/max like that at all. Sync freq should only come into effect when multi-(asynchronous)core operations are in effect. So something like updating apps or Google apps syncing up latest data to server, etc..

It must be a service that keeps changing my frequencies then. I don't know if it's possible to find out what's doing this.

I have the CPU freq tile in quick settings and every time I open it it shows different min and may settings, is this normal?

EDIT: Best as I can tell using trickster mod to set min and max freq has made it stick.

Hey Josh, I noticed that the WiFi-ap quick setting is missing on the latest stable. Sorry if it's been gone awhile, I haven't been able to keep up with every build lately.

Anyway, just curious if this feature Is no more or if it's just a temporary exclusion? I don't use it often, but use it for a quick test every now and then at work.

I'm not sure what you are referring to. The Wifi Quick Setting Tile is there. Did there used to be a different WiFi utility there?

So it is... :o

Not sure how I missed it. How ridiculous; I think I looked like 3 times...

Does anyone's Google search app (with now activated) crashes when you look up "volume of a sphere"? I can search anything else but that...(using pa gapps). Not ROM related.

Works fine here, but I am using TBO Gapps and not using Google Now so not a good test case.

Seems an awful specific problem. Makes me think it is something very quirky and not common. Try a simulated battery pull (hold power button, ignore power off menu, keep holding until unit spontaneously reboots. Solves 90% of stuff in the "quirky" category for me. ;)

So what's up with these test builds with PIE. Did you get out-voted, Josh, or mugged? ;) I think I may stay with stable until I see if this is permanent. Not really a fan, but obviously can ignore if here to stay.

I just dirty-flashed the new stable build. Has anyone had problems with the phone or the kernel? I didn't redo those (before I flashed the previous phone thing (sorry, don't know what it's called) and installed franco kernel). So far I've done nothing else with this one and so far, so good, but it's been all of 3 minutes. At this point I can verify only that it rebooted fine, my browser defaults are intact and my sms and mms messages are still there.
