Root [ROM][FINAL] CM7 7.2 RC1 - g60 style [7.11.12]

Can anyone tell me where startup/shutdown audio files should go on this ROM?

That's for changing system sounds, like "click" or "camera shutter" I've been working this afternoon. What I've found is needs to be supproted be "bootanimation" in /system/bin. I've tried a couple of things, they have only given me a blank boot screen. I'm going to see if I can read the "bootanimation" source code to see what I can figure out. I'm not a programmer, so I'll be winging it. Wish me luck!

What is the sleep policy for your WiFi?
Settings--> WiFi settings--> (menu) advanced settings.

It's set as "Never"

Actually, it just happened right now. Phone was charging, unplugged it, checked my WiFi Sleep setting, was connected to WiFi....and just checked a few minutes later and it's no longer connected.

Then, it started connecting again on it's own...and connected. Actually, it's also not staying connected when I press the power-off button once to turn the screen off.

When I am using google+, I take a screen shot and everything comes out except the picture. Is there a way to make the screen shot also get the picture? Running r0.6

It seems that Android does not natively support GIF images. That is probably because they are a proprietary format, and supporting them would cost the Android project and or Google copyright royalties. But the good news is I found a good app on the play store, right here. Also, if you like the app enough and really want to use GIF wallpapers without that dumb watermark, please purchase the Pro version. It also helps support development. It apparently supports GIF wallpapers. Please tell me if you've had success.

Before you posted this (yes, I know, you do need to do things like sleep ;)), I actually decided that running a bulk image conversion program on my laptop was the simplest solution, and it did work. Thanks for the info, though. It'll probably be useful to someone else. I really didn't know that GIF was proprietary.

He has made a script to allow you to have boot sound.

I have no personal knowledge of it, but apparently it works with CM7, and looks simple.

The first thing I did to my stock ROM after rooting was to disable the boot sound.

I got rid of the stock one ASAP myself (substituted something I liked better). Given this phone's history of spontaneous reboots, I do like to have some alert when that happens.

Is there a way to change the font of the clock on the lockscreen to ICS?

Get Roboto.ttf, rename it to Clockopia.ttf and copy to your /system/font directory, overwriting the original.

Whyzor had Roboto as default font in CM7 reloaded before... Is it gone now?

It sounds like it's losing connection only when your phone sleeps?
There was a partial_wakelock called whenever wifi or Bluetooth was used. I suppose it's possible something may have broken it in this build??
I haven't heard anyone else mention it, but if you want to try a test:
Download the wake lock app from play store, invoke a partial wakelock when you need wifi, and just see if that fixes it.

Just remember to release the wake lock when done... It'll prevent deep sleep and use more battery of you leave it on.

I just rooted and installed this rom on my phone a few days ago and i noticed the stock 2.2 volume is much louder than the volume on this rom. I was just wondering if the current volume level will stay like this or will there be any other possible audio changes in the future to improve volume level? I am one of those people that listen to music alot thats why i am asking :D

Just flashed this over Whyzor's last. Proximity issue is gone, along with the volume thing. Kinda like the simple launcher, turned off JD and am curious how the battery will do tomorrow. Peeled off the atomic blast proof screen protector and that does seem to make the phone more responsive. Feels better too, lol

Use dsp manager to adjust the settings and eq levels for louder volume.

Alright, I have start up sound. When it's run from the terminal emulator, you need to root with "su" then run
Code:
sh (the location of the bootsnd.sh file)
for me that was /sdcard/download/bootsnd.sh
After that, it will play a the file named "android_audio.mp3" if it's there.

Edit: It's been my experience that it will play any .mp3 as long as it's booting and named correctly.
Oh, and it's full volume!

Still have a bug with freezeing video files. I even tried b_randon's kernel. Still have a freeze of video frame.

I am getting a Force Close when attempting to install and use the 360 Launcher in R0.6. So far 360 launcher is my favorite even with its wonky lock screen. Thanks.

The thing is that you can only adjust DSP manager to a ceratin point untill the sound is distorted. Theres a difference between adjusting eq levels and increasing actual volume.

Let me start off with the fact that I love and appreciate the work g60madman and you others have done for the Triumph. I look forward to EVERY update.

Now for the complaints. and maybe someone can shed some light.
For me, the past 2 updates (R0.5 & R0.6) have resulted in my phone being extremely laggy and unresponsive. It may have been something I have done because everyone else seems to be fine with it.
I have tried both a straight flash over the previous install and also a clean install after factory restoring the phone and neither have seemed to make a difference.

Also, what is up with that "Home Sample" option. Does anybody like that or is it needed for the other Home Replacement options?

Thanks for any help, until then I will just stay with R0.4 ...
Happy Modding
