Root [ROM][FINAL] CM7 7.2 RC1 - g60 style [7.11.12]

Now for the complaints. and maybe someone can shed some light.
For me, the past 2 updates (R0.5 & R0.6) have resulted in my phone being extremely laggy and unresponsive. It may have been something I have done because everyone else seems to be fine with it.
I have tried both a straight flash over the previous install and also a clean install after factory restoring the phone and neither have seemed to make a difference.

Also, what is up with that "Home Sample" option. Does anybody like that or is it needed for the other Home Replacement options?

Home Sample is the base launcher that is in gingerbread. When I removed launcher2 this is the one bellow that. As for the issues you are having I have not had any problems. After a full wipe and load everything is working fine. Do other roms besides r0.4 perform normally be it muiu, ics or other flavors of cm7?

A question for anyone who may be able to answer.

In Issac's last MIUI ROM, the google talk allowed for voice and video chat. I know that google aps aren't part of this ROM, but can anyone tell me how to get the version of google talk that has voice and video chat that will work with g60's ROM? Seems like it should be possible.

Thanks for the suggestion. Downloaded the 2.3 APK and installed it in a fresh install of R0.6. Same issue. 360 Launcher gets angry and constantly wants to force close. It was difficult to uninstall 360. I am hoping to not have to delete my saved 360 directory with my setup and still use R0.6 and future releases.

EDIT: I must be more capricious than I thought. I now like Zeam more than 360 Launcher.

Yes check the download area on mtdev.us it has a link with google apps and one with google talk

I am wondering if 360 needs launcher2. In r0.7 I will be adding back in the stock launcher2 so home sample, and the crappy wallpaper app disappears. Launcher2 is the stock default for gingerbread just like the email.apk I left out. Since it's part of the base load it will be coming back. Because of that change I will also be removing Zeam so anyone can pick what ever it is they want to use for their launcher 360, ADW, Zeam, etc.
 
Cannot wait until the el crapo wallpaper thingy goes, and is replaced by the awesome one again!
EDIT: Is there anyway I can remove that horrible wallpaper selector but keep Zeam?
 
Ran r.06 all day with no JD and ended up at 51%. All 3g, no wifi, the usual news and app updates in the morning, fb and messaging during the day with a few phone calls. So pretty good actually, I'll run JD tomorrow and see what it adds. I like the launcher and cleaned up all the junk on the phone so guess I'm semi minimalist now. This runs a lot smoother than Whyzor's last and I think taking the screen protector off helped too.

This will be fixed in r0.7. Since I have added back in Launcher2 it has default wallpapers. I will be adding another 30 wallpapers to that (ICS, MIUI, Nature, etc). As for Zeam you can download from the Play Store, or the one that ThangFish released with the ICS look.

I have two apps that are giving me login issues: Cozi (to be fair, this is probably on their end, since their support tells me they're having some issues currently) and getting Titanium Backup to accept my Google Drive login. I'm going to try re-installing 0.6 to see if that helps (I decided to use GO Launcher EX, since I simply get along better with that than with Zeam). Any other suggestions?

Still wondering about that sound question, and am not advanced enough to understand posts on XDA. :)

Update: Cozi login is solved (problem was on their side), and I've figured out a workaround for Titanium involving Cheetah Sync (annoying that I need a second app involved to perform a function that Titanium's author claims his app will do on its own).

I do not believe that there is an option to do so with Zeam. But I've successfully reinstalled the stock launcher and ADW from here:

I do believe, however, that ADW does have enlargable icons. And also, installing 2launcher does no good to resolve the 360 launcher force close issues, even on the beta of r0.7. So I'm guessing that the problem lays elsewhere... Perhaps with the latest round of CM7 updates. Someone will need to narrow this down if enough people want to be able to use 360 launcher.

yes, ADW has them, but idk if it does it for them all round, i know it does them for the docked icons ADWsettings>UI Settings> AB Size

also, for me anyway ADW likes to resize them everytime i apply a new theme, so youll wanna remember that location so you can make em bigger again lol

While not actially making them bigger, you can add more space between the dock icons giving them the appearence of being larger. Preferences>Dock>Item spacing> Large
 
I'm running r.04 and got the first random crash today after running great for 2 weeks. I opened a pic from an incoming email with Gallery and tried to zoom in with 2 fingers, worked at first and then rebooted when I tried to zoom in further.
Very happy with the build overall, although I cannot figure out for the life of me why sometimes is goes in deep sleep and sometimes it doesn't.

You could try. Let us know what happens. The worst I can think would happen is it wouldn't work or lock up the phone. After that you could just remove it:D

BetterBatteryStats will show any wakelocks that my be holding up the system. I would start there.
