Root [ROM] MTDEV-CM7 build 2013-03-03

I'm running this ROM, and absolutely love it. Thanks Devs from keeping me from heaving my Triumph off of a bridge.

I want to know if this is possible, using certain settings/ apps...

I like using the pattern unlock screen, but like the ability to turn it off if I have the phone sitting out in front of me. For that purpose, I have the "No Lock Screen" widget. It works great, but sometimes I forget to re-enable the pattern lock, and things get pressed with my phone in my pocket. I'd like the ability to switch from the pattern lock screen to the slide to unlock screen with a widget if possible. Does anyone know of a way to do this?

I have to re-pair devices (moto hands free device and moto stereo headset). Also I always change my device name to "Thangfish's Triumph" and that doesn't stick either.

Can anybody else corroborate?
Could be just me.
I use extra batteries, so it could be after a reboot.

Yeah I found this also, thankfully is an easy fix.
 
Hi Chairshot. I've been trying out the the test build that you posted for a few days. Groove IP doesn't want to cooperate with this build for some reason. I had restored it from app extractor and it was force closing. Wiped data and it was still getting FC's. I uninstalled it and when I went back to the market it doesn't recognize my phone as being compatible. Groove IP won't even show up in the market. I tried going on the play store via web browser and installing it that way. No dice there either.

Just thought I would report. This is the only issue I've noticed.

Am using the paid version and can verify no issues for me either. Could maybe try deleting the play store data in applications menu in case something was flubbed when extracted. Have not used the app but have seen a few odd issues with Titanium, mostly with apps downloaded from the Amazon Store though.
 
Ok new build has been posted and is for the most part what has been being tested in the 10/6 build I posted for testing.


Updated to the Sharp 2.3.5 wlan firmware and init.qcomm etc scripts. Needed to edit back in a line from the Bluetooth script so settings would stick that had not been done in the 10/6 test build so should not see the same issue.


Removed system prop line for video suspected of causing wifi issues for some users. Will need to let me know for those who have had issues as I for the most part always seem unaffected. Otherwise had intended on removing when the video was reverted back


Completely reworked the init.triumph.rc based on what I found picking apart Bsidz backups and added a bunch of new permissions and links for things like the graphic drivers and hotspot. Going to see if the hostapd can now be moved back into the system partition without breaking the hotspot to see if it helps anything.


Removed the froyo mm modules for media and have replaced them with the Sharp 2.3.5 MM Modules along with the libaudioalsa.so.


Changed out the default static wallpaper from the God awful grass paper for when the setup wizard fails to set the live Nexus Wallpaper.

Nice work man, this ROM is so smooth!! Dare I say maybe even smoother than my CM9?!?! :D I have been missing my camera so I decided to come back to CM7, I am really impressed so far, and paired with Holo Launcher, Holo Locker, and the ICE10 theme it's like the perfect BLT Android Sandwich!!! Keep em coming!
 
How many of you guys are on a 802.11n network? Maybe a mixed network?

My new router has the ability to run in mixed b/g/n and when I try to run in b/g/n mode it will connect loop. if I run in b/g mode it will work. Well, at least so far.

Post up, let us know. I'm going to test n only now.

Just wanted to say that this is one of the most colorful, elaborate themes I've ever seen.

Not sure if I want to stick with it yet, but it's impressive never the less.

Big download for a theme, too.
 
Gapps appears not to be loading Market or Play. I'm using the one off this thread and I followed the procedure. Any clues why Market/Play won't show? I don't have Gmail or Nav either; just Google Talk. I cleared my data, cache, Dalvik cache, and flashed the ROM and then flashed the gapps right after it was finished before rebooting. Yes, I rebooted after loading CM7 for the first time as well. I seem to be the only one with this issue, so help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I honestly am not sure what the deal is on this. It always sets Nexus fine when you skip the wizard. Nine out of ten I skip and sign into wifi first before signing in because my apartment sucks. Took a sec to realise it was not a 1 in 10 or so flash thing but depended on if the set-up wizard was skipped or not.
 
Are you guys planning a from stock code build of cm7 well? Just wondering...i would be happy to see any fully operational cyanogen rom...i would prefer cm9/10 but i don't speek for all the triumph community...but i love the idea of starting from scratch with newer untouched code...can't wait to see where all this leads...great work guys!

I'd have to let g60 say for sure, but I think this is from pure code. I do know that he took the coffee from what was considered stable. g60 style was from a release canidate.

I am using 2 different 802.11n routers, D-Link DIR-655 (mixed g/n modes 20/40 MHz channels) and Actiontec MIWR424 Ver. I (802.11n only 20 Mhz channel) and have no problems connecting to either one. I'm running the 0926 build.

Sooner or later will get around to that Starship update. The new version based from this Rom is available on github. May post it tonight.

Sorry ended up in a word of pain last night to the point I was sitting at the door when my dentist pulled up at his office this morning. Long story short I am now down another Wisdom tooth.

This ROM was started from complete stock code and slowly worked in TickerGuy's, Issacj's, Whyzor's and Mantera's fixes.

Once I got the ball rolling with CM7 Chairshot & dsmryder joined Team MTDEV. After that runkin & bsydz started CM10 and we assimilated both of them and b_randon to make the Team even better!! The rest is history :)
 
This rom is smooth, and the wifi problems are gone for me :o I gotta flash my wifey’s phone now, she always complains about the wifi dropping :D
 
So, I'm getting the Triumph in 2 days. Upgrading from OV, what are the actual issues with this rom as of right now? I've seen things were changed in yesterdays update.

-Is there still the flicker in watching videos in portait?
-Is there still a clicking noise while recording video?
-I can careless about the deep sleep issue, because I have that problem on the rom I'm using now.
-HDMI does not bother me.

Please update me on the most recent build please. Thank you!
