Root [ROM][WIP] BACKside ROM (CM7) + Green Machine Theme

I was wondering if someone could give me a hand, I installed the newest rom following each step to the letter, it installed, booted, and got to the touch the android screen then as I touched it, the phone rebooted and is stuck in the lg boot screen loop. Nothing I press is getting me back into recovery to try to reflash the rom or restore the back up.

Does anyone have any advice how to get out of this?

Nope, I tried this over and over many times, as well as trying to get back into recovery, I never got out of the boot loop. I have managed to get the phone into emergency mode, but I'm not sure what to do from here.

Plug it in during the boot loop and see if that kicks it out of it.
Also you can try this

Here's the way to workaround the black screen and allow the OP to still flash the proper ROM and Gapps.

Have them go here first http://www.support-4-you.com/main/i...d-adb-installation&catid=40:how-tos&Itemid=57

After they install the ADB then have them go here http://java.com/en/download/index.jsp

After install have them go here http://blog.ribomation.com/droid-at-screen/

The droid at screen will allow them to connect there phone to the PC and see their recovery menu screen on their PC, even though they can't see it on their phone. Without having to put an app on their phone, which they can't do.
It's for blank screen but I've heard it can pull out of loop as well.

The clean (cleaner) version of power of backside

@Jerry, just a thought.. the notification drop image gets stretched and distorted while in landscape mode... what is your approach to this, if there is one?

I might be able to have it copy two copies of the selected image, with one rotated. But atm I'm pretty busy with ICS, and I hope to port my mods to it eventually. So as always, no promises. ;)

Hmm.. sounds better than what I was thinking(making it so the image doesn't rotate with the screen, so it just appears sideways in landscape mode)
and yes, I heard about your ICS venture, can't wait to see what you've got to offer(or anyone for that matter especially after seeing the progress for quattrimus)

At the rate Jerry is 'melting' his ice cream, he's going to have more than enough room for several toppings and awesome sauce!!

11) Restore apps, but DO NOT RESTORE SYSTEM APPS!!!

Can someone tell me how to do this part? Is this only if you use the Green Machine theme?
*EDIT* Oh this must be for restoring apps from Titanium Backup right? See my problem below:

I'm having trouble in that I can't send or receive text messages using the built in messenger. Is it because I didn't restore apps? I'm running backside 02192012 and the latest gapps. I wiped everything with the exception of the sd card when I installed. Please help :)

You may have a bad download. Check your md5

Just checked it (on the sd card) and the md5 matches. Since posting I've tried to use the 131 rom and I have the same problem. I tried go sms just to see if it would work but it doesn't. The messenger app does appear to send (says sent) but I do not receive the message on the other phone that I am testing with. Also the same for receiving. I send from the other phone and never receive it on the optimus. I can make calls and use 3g just fine though.

Should I start a new thread for this or could it possibly be a problem with the rom?

Note- as with all my mods that require selecting a file via a file manager, you must have OI File Manger installed
(it's included in the ROM ;))
Is there any way to use another file manager? I had to download OI when I tried to change my drop down image.

Are you doing a full wipe each time? Or just flashing over the previous install? I had a problem a while back where I wouldn't get any MMS unless I flashed a new build, then I'd get a few days worth at once (my wife and I play Slug Bug via MMS), but then nothing until I flashed a new build. Jerry had me wipe everything clean and do a fresh install, that fixed the problem.

So if you are just trying different builds over old restores or old flashes, try going clean.

I did this:

9. Wipe Data/Factory Reset, wipe cache partition. Under Advanced submenu, wipe dalvik-cache. Then uner Mounts & Storage submenu, format all partitions EXCEPT /sdcard.

I copied my sd using usb and then formatted it, copied the rom, gapps and cwm backup directories back to the card and then did the above procedure before installing 131. No love. Just ran fix_permissions and no luck there either.

Can I use cwm to restore the backup stock rom or do I need to jump through a few hoops to do it?

Is it just a matter of wiping all the partitions/factory reset in cwm and then choosing the backup I made the first time I ran cwm backup?
