I did a clean install of your 8/18 build, and gps still didn't work. I tried Google Navigation and an app called GPS Status & Toolbox and it wasn't finding any gps satellites.

I went back to the 8/10 build, and gps is working perfectly. I'm going to stick with that build for now. Everything seems to work.
 
GPS is still not working for me, too. I wiped cache and dalvik cache, and flash from 8/10 to 8/18. One more thing that's been bugging me from square one is the dialer in this rom. Any numbers that are dialed as follows: +1(xxx) xxx-xxxx "can not be completed". This would be ok with me if it weren't for the fact that calling businesses using Voice Actions results in the number automatically being dialed this way. This also happens when trying to dial any of my Facebook contacts. JerryScript, is this something that's easily remedied? I know that I've seen a setting in some Froyo roms called "assisted dialing" that seemed to take care of this.

The gps and dialer issues aside...this rom is the best one out there, hands down. Thanks for all your hard work, guys.

I'm on 8/10 and having no issues with dialing 1 first.

There is a setting under call settings that say internet calling and can be selected to use only on internet calls prompt each time or always on. What app it uses I'm not sure.

It only has issues when there's a plus sign (+) before the 1. try calling any place using Voice Actions.

He was tying to help you out, not be rude. Click on the Blue "Here you go,man" it takes you to a browser, then the search word Voice action auto type's in. Then it auto selects google search,which brings you to a browser page with all the selections for voice actions. I thought it was pretty cool,and very helpful.
 
I took it as being sarcastic rather than saying what it was.
it would have been much easier to say it's commands given through voice search rather than going out of his way to make that oink which is why I took it as a sarcastic remark.
 
How do I toggle 3g? The power control widget doesn't work. When I tap the 2G button, nothing happens. I had 3g disabled when I rooted and modded, and now I haven't been able to get on 3g since. How do I turn it back on?

Try going into plane mode and back.

As for the +1 issue my research has shown this is a known issue on other phones not just this Rom. It has to do with the phone not being an international phone which may be able to be manipulated by the rom if they make the changes for it too. In the mean time there is an app called vlingo which they say will work to search and dial without a +1.
 
hey guys, regarding adobe flash, i do have 10.1 working somewhat, and was wondering if 10.2 was working at all. as far as 10.1, i really didnt do anything drastic. i tried installing flash 10.2, it didnt seem to work at all. so i tried 10.1 and i can get some sites to play flash videos. i use it in conjuction with dolphin browser hd. when dolphin browser comes across a flash video, it is set to default with a green box in place of the video. you click the green box, and the flash plays. so far, im about 50 50. some videos it works, some videos it doesnt. but its a start.

is that what you guys are coming across too?

I have been unable to install it.

Vlingo app looks like voice search does all kinds of commands even morethan voice search with more settings. Here's the link http://market.android.com/details?id=com.vlingo.client and best of all its free. If i misunderstood the link i apologize.

I needed to use my phone, so I just did a quick restore back to the original rom. I was able to turn 3g back on.

Now it appears I've lost root. All I did was boot into recovery, clear the caches, and restore to the backup I made before I flashed. I can still boot into recovery, but now I'm unsure how to proceed to root and flash Backside again.
 
I've had my first two questions answered by figuring it out myself, but since more discussion is going on now, I'll go ahead and ask some more questions, lol.

1. Why won't my phone turn off while its being charged- anyone else's do this?
2. How do I setup VOIP using this rom's built in features...?
3. My battery is getting sucked dry with lite use! What can I do to prevent this? Tried installing Green Power App but it isn't compatible I think... it seems to not work anyway...

Edit: Also, don't see the "08172011" build. only one that is the 08102011build.
 
My battery is draining very quickly too...last night with data off, background Data off, volume muted, and screen completely dimmed I lost around 20% battery

Edit:: that was with me sleeping from around 1am to 9am ish

Interesting i was use to my Palm Centro which never shut off so I almost never completely shut my phone down but no it won't stay off. As for the build he removed it till the gps issues can be fixed battery problems shouldn't be too bad you may have something running in the background. Voip i have not been able to find anything other than to turn it off or on or prompt that is under call settings at the bottom of call settings.
 
hi everyone. from what ive been told, the cyanogen roms behave that way when charging. when you turn the phone off, it will boot up and recharge. thats just how all of these builds have been i believe.

i have found battery life to be very good and almost as good as stock rom for me. i do expect it to be worse because the os and phone are much more powerful now. i use juice defender free. i have also found that you will lose some charge when you are sleeping. i have lost 12 to 15 percent before myself.
 
I don't use allot of ad revenue based free apps only because they are continuously connecting to the internet to update there ads which is a huge battery drain.
 
I got the voip figured out, first you need a sip account of some kind, then menu> settings>call settings> internetcalls> set to prompt. Exit, go to dial a number, youll get this screen,

select internet call, then you'll see this

select add, at the next screen select add account and you'll get this,

fill it out with the info given by whoever your sip account is with and you should be good to go.
 
Before posting issues with 3G, be sure to check VirginMobile's twitter account, there was a 3G outage in the past 24 hours. ;)

As for battery life, I get from 18-28 hours on a single charge. If you really want to see what's going on with your battery usage, try the included SpareParts app, it has some great battery info. Loosing 20% in 8+ hours is not considered bad battery stats on a CM7 ROM. ;)

They were mistakenly left out but on a previous page Jerry linked a zip of them you can flash with your recovery.
 
How do I use a live wallpaper? I don't get the option in menu>wallpaper. Also, I'm not digging the Green Machine theme. Can I use any CM7 compatible theme?
