Pretty much almost all the custom roms have that, it also has that on optimus m cm7 roms as well :p
 
Sammy!! Hey.. do you know how to apply a fix.zip to a theme?? :D I'm so desperate for an answer right now, it's not even funny...

I'm going to guess you flash it from recovery. Read through that thread first though (just to be sure) as I'm sure someone else asked, too.
 
Recovery!!!!!!!!!!! Why didn't I think of that. Oh my gosh. I'm reading through the read now, but I'm almost sure that's the answer. Wow. Thanks so much for helping a little noob with a brain fart!
The only thing is, in recovery, it said "installation aborted..." :/
 
OKAY! I figured it out. The instructions are as follows:
"Put the xml in the right location in the framework-res.apk using Winzip or something. Then either push it to your phone or put in your ROM and flash it again."
Now, I'm not familiar with xml editing, so I'm going to need some help (I know, who knew, right? :rolleyes:)...
But at least now I know exactly what I have to do!!
 
So.... basically a reflash? Because when I'm surfing the web, on both Stock and Opera, the phone will freeze and reboot. I'm typing on it now without issue, but I just barely reflashed this morning and this is issue is definitely there. I heard of something... "fix permissions" from recovery. Doing research on it now, but it's a totally new concept to me that looks like it's going to be something I will end up doing.

If you're going to do "fix permissions" I suggest using Terminal Emulator instead of the recovery one because that will most likely mess up your phone more.

Type this in terminal emulator:
su
fix_permissions

Definitely this is right. Fix permissions in recovery blows things to bits.
 
From what I've read Jerry upgraded to the elite and will likely not be around the community anymore and we will not see any more updates. I'm grateful for the work he's put into this rom and wish him the best of luck and maybe we'll see him around in the future.
