Root [ROM][WIP] BACKside ROM (CM7) + Green Machine Theme

I am running backside right now but I am having issues. It keeps rebooting on me usually right after I hit send for a text. I did the zv9 update a while ago. Do I just need a new kernel?

Try this:

Go to terminal emulator and type:
su
fix_permissions
reboot

If you get an error after fix permissions, press menu key>close window and open terminal emulator again and type it all in again.

I find that the text causing reboot issue after flashing z9 only happened to me after I used Link2SD. I flashed Bobz's v4 kernel and then I was good. But I was definitely not seeing the text reboot issue until I put Link2SD on.

I'm running link2sd as well. Sometimes certain apps don't operate as sufficiently as we'd like them too, and can cause small problems when they are linked, just like when installing an app to your SD card

On another note.... I wonder if Jerry is waiting for page 100 to give us all an update... sounds like something he would do.. or just seeing how we would all react if we didn't get a regular update?? It could be several possibilities, but I do know that Jerry is up to something, he usually has something up his sleeve. But if its anything, the next update will be a major one, if not, then one that has a super awesome Easter egg for us. :D
I'm going to stay positive, and patient, for Jerry. :)

I sure hope so, when I ported the last update I kinda screwed up the model # and released it (LW690 optimus c instead of MS690 optimus m) I'm not sure how that happened though because in the build.prop it still has metro settings and not cricket settings.....

Just downloaded the 5/22 ROM and I'm still having some issues with the status bar. Thankfully, one of my biggest problems with having to tap the brightness toggle more than once for it to function has been addressed.

I've also seen this on other recent editions of BACKside, but I'm still noticing some green hues to icons that should be white in the status bar and the power widget. And in one instance, when I put my phone in vibrate mode, the icon is totally green. I've included a screenshot so people can see what I'm talking about. I tried to take another shot of the volume toggle in the power widget, but it won't let me. And actually I just noticed that out of my brightness, wifi, and airplane mode toggles, my volume is the only one that has the greenish tint to it. And it only does it when I have on full volume and full volume + vibrate. Anyway, is there a way to fix this in the status bar settings? It really isn't a big deal, just slightly annoying in an otherwise beautiful ROM.

Im having a problem with my mic working while I have headphones (not headset) on. Started a few updates ago but just getting around to asking about it. Anyone know a quirk in the settings to fix this in current release?

Possibly, but you didn't miss much. I currently use a pair of Skullcandy Ink'd w/ mic. Nothing super fancy, but I could afford them and they sound good.

@brotherswing. i have the same ones and they work great. $10 bux at Marshall's too (which is the cheapest place to buy Skullgear earplugs). I only wish the plastic for the mic wasn't so cheap, it cracked after a week so i have a bit of scotch tape wrapped around it to hold it together, otherwise it still works great.

I use a pair of studio headphones from Sony that are about $20 online that work pretty well. I'm not much of a headphone user though (I'm paranoid about tinnitus ), I use a pair of Logitech speakers or the phone speakers for music.
