Root [ROM][WIP] BACKside ROM (CM7) + Green Machine Theme

Honestly, I kind of hope he bought an Elite. Since the OV is basically discontinued now, if I need a new phone for some reason, I'd probably go for Elite. And it'd be 1000x better if I had something from Jerry on it. ;)

the username. This forum is great in that has a lack of trolls, but every now and then.... Lol

I would like to see Backside on the Elite since I picked one up. Haven't activated it yet but I been using it on wifi. I'd hate to see him completely give up on the OV since there's still alot of people using it including my wife and my son when I give him my V. Seeing if I can hold off on activating the Elite until we get root.

I ain't changing my name. Too many people get a hold of my username before I do most of the time....on androidcentral I'm sammyz12...

Yup yup, and the issues I had were mostly my own fault (not enough knowledge). Perhaps had I had more experience in rooting then I wouldn't of made such silly newb mistakes. I mean, I can read the forums all day long, but since I'm a "hands on" type of learner I barely knew what I was doing.

Naw, nothing wrong with your guide. I have some info (from a newb perspective) that I wanna share with you to add to your guide. Let me get some sleep and get past the next few days (lots of things to do before my sweetie goes on his backpacking trip) and I will PM you with the proposed info.
 
I use the Espier Launcher as my default. I have to manually select the launcher after rebooting the phone. The system keeps using Espier after that point. Is there any way to set it so that it will automatically use Espier instead of ADW on boot? It's just a minor annoyance but it would be cool if it loaded the launcher automatically. Thanks.
 
I am running backside right now but I am having issues. It keeps rebooting on me usually right after I hit send for a text. I did the zv9 update a while ago. Do I just need a new kernel?
