Root [ROM][WIP] BACKside ROM (CM7) + Green Machine Theme

i've been using BACKside for the past 3 months, overclocked to 825mhz, and everything has been great for the most part, except for 1 thing that i've noticed on this newest (11-02) build: i get at least 1-2 notifications per day that the sd card has been removed when it hasn't been. i have to remove and reinsert it for it to be usable again....
Sounds like your sdcard, or the sdcard slot, is going bad. Try running a check disk on it with your PC.

So my phone still says that automatic brightness is enabled...I checked in cyanogen settings and I do have it unchecked.
I tried removing the button again and changing the brightness modes then putting it back-still said auto brightness is enabled
I tried clearing cache and dalvik cache from recovery and that didn't help either
I'm not really sure what to do now and i'm pretty annoyed that I can't use the status bar brightness slider because "automatic brightness is enabled"
Any ideas?

edit::

Dunno if that helps or not but that's what I mean... You can see auto is unchecked but in the widget it says enabled

New build is up:

md5sum dcc4421b4ad568fbc86bd7d7403cc559

GreenMachineTheme-11092011.zip

Changes:
- market download fix, cache is now calculated differently (needs testing)
- added a first try at an update checker (see app drawer, needs testing)
- more integration with recent omap update should improve video performance
- lots of small changes mostly to files not associated with the OV

Thanks to Blarf, BobZhome, mrg666, Whyzor, the CM7 team, and a lot of others! ;)

Ok guys, I'm still having the problem. I fully charged my phone last night and went to sleep, woke up after 6 hours and it was completely dead.

To make things easier, its probably better if I go stock for my bro, he can install whatever rom he wants after. Where can i get the stock rom?

Before I installed CM7, i of course did a backup of the original rom, can't i just restore to that from recovery? If so, that is what I should do, wipe both caches, restore, and then do a factory reset?

Yes you can but you'll still have the data from when you backed up.
Not if he factory resets (the last part of his post). When you do factory reset, make sure it is within recovery and not privacy options so you don't brick. Refer to the do not factory reset your rooted phone thread.

I'm tired lol. I missed that whole part.

Anyone know a solution to my auto rotate problem? >_<

EDIT: Also, I read up on recent posts about problems with the notification power widgets. I tried out brightness control and when I changed it to say 25% then turned my screen off, it doesn't stick as 25%. It changes back to a different brightness setting. Furthermore, I've been having issues changing the button order of the notification power widgets.. Is it possible the there's just a bug in the whole notification power widgets option itself? o.O

I just use the CM7 feature that allows dragging the notification bar to set brightness, top left corner is lowest, middle is 50%, right is 100%. It's quicker and more precise than toggling through the preset brightness settings.

Have you used anything like the better battery stats app to see what's sucking your battery?

No I haven't. I will be getting that later on today. This happened just recently after updating my current theme and downloading swiftkey x. I removed the keyboard and downgraded on the theme to see if that improves my battery life.

Agreed. Love that feature.

If that doesn't work for you, try moving all of your apps back to the phone. I had an issue previously where I had moved some apps to my SD card that normally couldn't be moved to the SD card. As a result, the apps ran fine but my battery suddenly started draining very quickly.
