Root [ROM][WIP]CM10.0.0.l0-BobZ

i flashed cm10 and restored cm10 backup and those issues remained. my point all along was not that the core issues with the rom would be fixed but the different issues. like one guys camera works and one guys doesn't would be fixed because of exactly what you just said. some apps write to sd and are leaving behind files that are causing the different issues. but as zephyr pointed out all you need to do is format /sdcard and not reinstall like i did.

I've never tried restoring data from a backup, because after I wipe my sdcard the blacklight goes away, I can record just fine, just not with the front facing camera, and everything seems to be running smoother, I'm not saying this will fix everyone's issues, I'm just saying that I believe it helps and everyone should do it once in a while, because you don't lose your app data anyways, so there's nothing you can lose from wiping it once in a while ;)

I agree with PG because I've never had to do this with any other phone, a factory reset did it for me.
I guess our phone is just, special :p

Yea and I typically keep stuff on my sdcard(s) like umm music. pictures, etc I dont want to backup and restore every time I flash.

This could very well just be sumtin with this device and its cousins, and/or 2nd-init etc. :)

well my point in posting this in the first place was not to cause confusion but to help those with issues that everybody else didn't have. like the guy who's wifi doesn't connect and the guy who's front camera doesn't work. if all your stuff is working then all this would be irrelevant. i also had an issue where i couldn't turn the screen back on with out clicking power on and off several times. i'm sure noone else had this issue but this is why i had this issue and others even after a factory reset

Sorry I took it as you saying wiping the sdcard was a must flashing anything on any device. ;) Hence my 'I said its so' attitude. :p

that was probably my bad. i guess i could have said it in alot less words and been more precise but i was also trying to explain why. not just how. and how i concluded it. because like you said this maybe a problem with this phone or 2ndinit that might could be fixed later if all the related info is known.

All in all wiping the SD card got rid of my echo issues one more things could that have something to do with the boot loader?

Seeing as it helped you, I'll try it later today and see if it fixes my little problem.

there are no changes between this and PG's latest build. Just showing that I'm gonna try building :)

Another bug I found was accessibility under settings can't be changed anything that needs to be turned on won't turn on. Just throwing it out there. I was trying to install floating notifications and I can't turn it on.

Side note good luck Sammy on your build :D

disable any other accessibility options you have turned on first ie:autorotate then turn on floating notifications then turn back on your other options.

Quick question,is it possible to make a flash able zip for the recovery in PGs cm10? I tried formatting the internal sdcard in the recovery from Bobz and it ended up formatting MY external SD :'(. Or where else can I get it?

recovery.tar

put it in /system/xbin
permissions are rwxr-xr-x and ownership is owner: 0:root group: 2000:shell
