5/12 build the newest one on first page... followed directions to a t... like i said this rom is good just small issues messed it up for me the call volume is very low that was the main reason i dropped it after the GPS issue and the picture messaging

picture messaging works fine for me
 
I have searched this thread for an answer, if there is one I could not find it. I can not get 4G to work. I flowed Bobz directions in the op's post. But still no 4G. Any ideas ?

hasn't worked since you installed? have you done a speed test? 4g icon doesn't show it's one of the bug in the build. if you did all that and still no go.
try flashing recovery 6.0.2.7 then format /sdcard (internal sd) in recovery of course back up music or whatever. somehow files on sd get corrupt from flashing back and forth etc. on sdcard mms-recovery5-recovery6.zip i'm sure someone will come along and say this isn't needed but believe me this is real and sometimes helps when you get issues that noone else has.

the zip is pg's inverted mms and both recoverys from bobz and pg builds in aroma installer
EDIT:also flashing version c modem increases 4g speed. it's somewhere a few pages back.

I am new to the forums, but have been lurking for a while.
I recently flashed bobz rom, and wonder if anyone has a version of the quick memo that will work with CM10.
I actually used that feature a lot, and somewhat miss it.

Also, how does c modem help 4g speed?
And can i just flash it from recovery? or do i need to wipe data or anything?

flash cmodem from recovery no wipe needed. and theres an app on google play similar to quickmemo can't remember the name off hand. volume down and power takes screenshot.

Just installed the ROM, everything is working great -- pic messages, 4g speeds, not having any of the commonly reported issues except that I can't access my external sd card from in CM10. I see my data when I explore from the computer, but ES file explorer shows it as empty, and the built in CM file explorer refuses to open it and says I need elevated permissions, though as far as I can tell I have root access. Do I need to reroot the phone after installing Cyanogen, or can someone help me figure out what's going on here?
also holding the power button doesnt give me the option to reboot to recovery, only power down, change profile, reboot, and airplane mode.

Go to the file manager settings>general settings> access mode
and set it to root access mode.

Go into recovery, and wipe sdcard from mounts and storage, make sure you have the v6.0.2.7 recovery to do this.
 
First off Bobz you are the reason I still use metro pcs
They are slow with the updates etc, but for the price I cant complain
You made my optimus M bearable

Flashed latest build on F firmware from a stock based rom floating around on here.
Gps finds me with the quickness, my battery life is so much better its ridiculous,I find myself waiting for my phone to run out before i throw it on charger.
I used to have to throw it on charger halfway thru my shift..not anymore
4g speeds are noticeably different as well as wifi,

my only 3 problems 1 of which is solved,
the call volume is whisper quiet
i have noticed a few times after pushing power button for screen lock
the backlight has come back on without image a few times, turning screen on and off again corrects this
The camera does not let you change to external sd to save pictures

Could you post the link to the thread where you found that camera app?
And to fix the blacklight just go into recovery and go into mounts and storage and wipe sdcard and reboot, you don't lose app data or anything.

Please don't tell people to format an sdcard without first telling them they will lose everything they ever put on it. Backup your microSD card to your computer first!

also that requires recovery 6.0.2.7 if you do that in the old recovery it wipes external sd instead. and anything in music folder pictures folder etc.. will be gone forever
 
Sorry! forgot to mention that it needs to be done in the 6.0.2.7 otherwise it does delete everything, but actually just wiping the sdcard would only really delete downloads unless you put your music in there and a good idea would be to move your pictures to your external SD card if you don't want to lose them.

picture messaging worked as far as me sending out the first 3 pics... once someone tried to send me a pic it stopped working & i was never able to send and receive pics after that.. and these were important pics my sister sent me a pic of her engagement ring that i could not download due to the rom as well as i tried to send of a t shirt design for a client that would not send... as you can see picture messaging is kinda crucial for me right now as to why i deleted it

Your incall volume isn't low? when I had Bella rom my incall volume was loud as hell. It was almost like a half volume speaker phone.

Now it seems like full volume is = to stock half volume or a tad bit more.
Is there any fix to that, or an app that can effect incall volume?
