Root [ROM][WIP]CM10.0.0.l0-BobZ

Still trying to dig through the framework to find out why I'm randomly getting crt off. I just pressed the power button.. backlight stayed on so of course I hit power again and did so repeatedly because I got crt off on first press, I eventually got the animation 18 presses in a row. It's almost like it's enabled somewhere and disabled somewhere else causing it to try to work. I'm 100% certain the backlight has nothing to do with the lockscreen or its settings.
 
I can't view the service jar classes dex without my computer which my son again ruined, so if anyone could help me in looking into this would be awesome. Im trying to find out if crt is definitely disabled.
 
I've had this ROM for about a month and its been great.

But just now, my phone died (it was at 0%) and now when it turns on, it is charging, but it will reboot after about 10 seconds and it keeps happening.

idk what happened but I didn't do anything to it.

EDIT: It was fixed by using a different charger... that's really strange though

you think that's strange.. My phone was on a charger for close to 24 hours.. no increase in battery..

I rebooted the phone. was still at 15%, but it started charging..

And I'm on rooted stock.
 
It kinda bugs me I can't charge the phone with it off.. Still getting the backlight/crt issue and gps still won't lock on to satellites even after applying PG's gps.conf. It's close but still not 100%
.. Otherwise I'm really happy with this rom. Thanks

Just to add.. I've read in a lot of places that you should always flash a new rom on a full battery and do a calibration afterwards.
 
Everything worked fine for me except for the 4G and taking video. Everytime I'd switch to the front facing camera it would break completely. Would do a factory reset , try to use the front facing camera for videos and it would break all over again lol. Other than that, loved the hell out of this rom.

4g works, you just get a 1x icon instead of a 4g icon, flash the C modem, that should make it work, it was just around a page or 2 back, the remaining issues with this is that
- Front facing video doesn't work
- 1080p recording is purple
- The phone doesn't vibrate when you're getting a call and you have it set on vibrate
And then also the rest of the issues that are already known, and that's about it :]
 
Is there a special trick to connect another device via WiFi tethering or does it not work? I've tried connecting to devices to my WiFi and can't.

Some devices don't connect to hotspots (adhoc). Sometimes a CM rom will fix that. My optimus m would need a CM ROM to connect to any adhoc network..but not my motion.

Here, make a backup and save it to your External SD card
Factory reset, then go back into recovery and go to backup and restore and hit advanced restore and then hit restore data, should get all your apps and data back along with wallpaper and other things :]
 
Good advice. Gonna have to wait til tomorrow for this one though... I filled up my SD card with the first three seasons of dexter.. Have to transfer them to the computer then I'll give it a whirl. Thanks ;)
 
I just installed it 3 times.. had to flash firmware to try again.
In all 3 trys.
-the keyboard is not working.
-it corrupts or deletes the recovery file

couldn't use it much without the keyboard..
if i could, i wouldve been able to list any other bug...
 
Please forgive me if this has been said previously but i've been using the 4-28 build by Bobz for a while now and the only thing that I want to see on this rom now that we have a custom kernel is GPS. Is there any way to get GPS to work on this rom? Also does MMS work fully in the newer version of the rom? It kind of works when it wants to on mine.

Edit: Btw I tried searching for it with the search tool and none of my queries returned results, even "gps" returned no results so I stopped trying ha.
 
Just a FYI... I pulled the camera/photoshere apk out of the lg lte2 ROM that androidadmirer did and installed normally into bobz 4/22 build & it fixed the front facing camera & front facing video. Also the photosphere can didn't work for me
