So I tried the Terminal method. Didnt work. When I typed in the last part it ran then said "Failure" so I went with the alternative which is uninstall TiBu and was successful in updating. Either way Thanks man. I had like 5 updates that wouldnt download and install and it was annoying the hell out of me.
 
I have two questions, How do I run titanium backup? (if possible) & How do I turn off the shutter sound on the camera?

If you have root explorer open root explore>system> then mount as R/W media>audio>UI>camera click and rename camera_click.ogg and add .bk to the end so it says camera_click.ogg.bk . If you want the sound back rename it again and delete the .bk

I know how to use it, I want to know how to run it. Since installing the latest CM7 I no longer see the icon

can also edit the build.prop.
 
Hi I was going to try the new build but I'm having an issue with my nandroid bu. cwm 3.0.0.5 is not recognizing my SD ext. I have BobZ's cm7 rc1 build and it has dta2sd baked in. (as you probably already know). Anyway, I have and ext3 partition 512mb 32mbswap. I did an ap2sd check in terminal emulator and I also have a2sd GUI app installed. Both say I have an ext3 partition (sorry for going on and on)... Does anyone know why cwm will not recognize the SD ext? I don't want to flash without having my apps backed up. also pgs instructions say wipe SD ext but I won't be able to do that either if cwm doesn't think it exists. ugh! lol. thanks.
 
i have downloaded cm7.1-rc1-ascend-07202011 and now i cant get wifi the metropcs easy wifi ap isnt there and at boot i get some force closes can some one help me get wifi pls help
 
So I did the upgrade to CM7, last night.. And idk how I feel about it. I do not like the new Android Keyboard, it looks weird, and harder to type with.. I guess I can get used to it though. Then the rotation sucks, when I want to text. I rotate it, and it lags. About 7 seconds, at least, or more, before it can take effect. I can't even customize the Notification Bar (colors, and stuff like that). I do like the themes, and that it finally supports Live Wallpaper, but I can't get that to work for some reason. I'm in the mood to go back to CM6 :/
 
you gotta be on that good crack cocaine. lol i am on metro pcs running cm7.2 and my phone is faster then ever. check out my video that on one of these threads. you gotta let it settle in for about an hour reboot couple times. tweak the settings around. trust me it will pay off!

The camera won't work with any apps that use it, other than a couple that simply change the look of the picture. And once an app breaks the camera, you need to reboot to get it back.
 
Don't know why your having issues I'm running cm7 on metropcs n it works perfect and it moves better than cm6 once u let it settle n tweak it a bit

umm I think so lmao. I didnt package it so I am guessing they just forget to rename the folder b4 zipping.

And this is one isaac built and dropped support on shortly b4 he stopped dev'ing for the ascend.

the official build is still 3.0.0.5 but 3.0.2.8 has been reported to work just fine and backup sd-ext.

Yeah just reboot your phone and it should work. You can still use some camera apps like QR Droid. Just dont open the actual app or else your camera wont work and you'll be forced to reboot. Just take a picture of it and then open your gallery and click share and click "Decode QR with QR Droid" and it will actually open the app and show you the results. Someone in this thread told me that and I think also in the thread are a few other camera apps that work or ones with tricks to get them working.

MetroPCS easy wifi is completely unistalled/removed when you install a CynagonMod ROM.
Just download it off of the appstore, metro's gives you.
and just reboot once more and try it, the force closes will only appear some times when you first install it. Let it settle down
 
My friend has this phone for MetroPCS, but after rooting and installing CM7, the headset jack isn't functioning properly:

While on a call, she can't hear anything on the other end, but the person can hear her just fine.

Has anyone had this issue or know of a fix?
