i formatted sd card it still wont leave this screen can some one give me a link to a good cm7? maybe my download was bad or maybe the correct steps?

Yeah i tried those as well. I was in hopes of getting some of the 04/2011 roms..but alas no luck

i have thos also, but very unstable compared to lastest builds, and alot of things that was broken like cam and all dont work.
i have that update it still wont pass the orange screen what do i set my sd at when i partition it ?
so do i use the same gapp and mms fix for this update?
sorry for the bother but this is really frustrating ty so much for the help

if you installing the latest cm7 partition sd card threw recovery and choose 512 and 32 for swap, make sure you have a card reader cause when you format and partition the sd card it will erase everything. make a backup of your sd card also before attempting this.

a2sd problems right? What all did you move to the sdcard? Have you partitioned your sdcard?
Have you threw your phone across the room? did it make you feel better?

1) If you have a CLASS 4 or lower SDcard,move the DALVIK CACHE back to internal memory.
2) Try out the app STARTUP AUDITOR to help out w/boot times.The decrease in boot time will be marginal at best,but,this app will keep some user apps from coming online unprompted.
Also,considering you have a 'lazy' ASCEND,boot times aren't gonna be lightning quick.Neither are average or above average ASCENDS either.
The CPU in this phone is overtaxed as it is,so,boot times aren't gonna be anything like,say,a DROID X,EVO 3D,G2X,etc.....
Best thing you can do after installing CM7 is getting a CLASS 6 or better SDcard.
I've noticed a dramatic performance increase since getting a CLASS 10 for my phone.

i went and bought new ascend from metro running the 2.2.2 it caame this way my old one was 2.1 i got a new one so i could back it up right this time to be able to go back to stock do you have a good free rooting link so i can do it right this time?

I wouldn't ask any developer that,it's a sure-fire way to p*** them off & to discourage further development.
If you look at the DROID TIPS when first flashing a new ROM,I believe it's tip #2,don't ask for ETA's on updates.
