Does WiFi work for you with other apps, like your browser? You have the right password saved?

Usually immediately following a re-boot.I believe it happens on my phone when I try to use the phone too soon after re-boot.I've found it doesn't pop-up if I give the phone a couple minutes to let everything settle in before using it.

I just went through and cleaned out my phone. It's been getting worse over the past week as I've downloaded and tried out new apps without uninstalling them when I was done playing with them. It's back up to speed after a good cleaning now. I think the main culprits were the two apps I had installed that both searched locally for things to do.
 
well i am doing BobZ 07012011 build and gonna see if ringtones are still and issue there for me...I really cant remember if it was one of BobZ builds or a very old one of Isaacs that i could use my custom ringtones with...so i guess test them all out...lol

Well 07122011 did not work..gonna try the 07082011 build...i am trying...lol

Well both were a no go for custom ringtones. Hey can't blame a guy for trying. I was looking in another forum, and people there seem to think it has something to do with the kernal. Which i could see being completely possible, since this poor little phone was never designed to work with gingerbread.

think its been an issue with cm7 from day one ;)

I use Bobz0708 and can use all my ringtones I had before if that helps any

Did you have to move them to a specific directory? Or do you just choose them from your contacts and they work, cause when i tried, of course i did not move them to a directory, but just doing generic choosing i could not get them to work.

Im on BobZ's 0708 build too. Yes you can use anything as a ring tone. But you cant set a different ringtone for each caller. Well let me take that back. You CAN but they wont work because the default ringtone will ring no matter what you set a contact too.

I moved them everywhere and changed the permissions to everything under the sun, even reformatted mp3 into .oog's even set them as system ringtones so they showed in the list. None of it worked. The default ringtone will over ride whatever you set the contacts ringtone as
 
I'm a late Bloomer, but I just today flashed over to CM7 (latest build on the Wiki). I must say awesome work to everyone involved. I was so nervous I could barely use the trackball. Lol. No complaints tho. Kickass effort.

ok i havnt tried to set individual ringtones lol so i geuss i was no help but i tried i would like to thank all the developers for the amazing rom and all of the technical support ive recieved would love to learn more and am thrilled to see the next update before we get to ics if thats even possible to put on my phone lol keep up the good work
 
Damn it! So close! Ahaha I decided to take a picture this time. Usually my home screen (When on 7.2) is all blue like this but this time my home screen minus the status bar was fine. But when I opened the settings I got the all "blue". (I had to size them this way to fit the criteria to upload)

For the ringtone issue - I use Ringdroid or something comparable, make a custom ringtone, and use sound in the settings app and select the custom ringtone. I actually have never had a problem with any build of cm7 doing it this way.

Also I too have the This process...error during startup, I've noticed just leaving it for a minute or two helps. The biggest culprits seem to being anything that require super user access.

if you are refering to using cust. ringtones as default not an issue, but setting them to each person is where the problem lies. no biggie though...
