Root [ROM][WIP] CyanogenMod 7 | Android 2.3.5 (Gingerbread) | Current Version: 09122011

hey it booted up and everything but now it freezes out of nowhere and turns off how do i fix this?

Do you have a "Lazy" Ascend? Have you ran 710 before? Because I noticed unlike other builds where the max is set to 600, 710 is set to the default speed. So as soon as you boot you are running 710

no i do not but i have it on 748 right now and i usually always have it on that so i don't know should i lower it?

Yeah I would. Mine will run at 748 but begin to get glitchy and start to freeze. I have it @729 which is what Ive been running at on BobZ's build and everything is good.

Reflash and make sure you format system, boot, cache and data. I had that problem with the 0728 build and that fixed it.

I like the new ROM PG, had an issue with it not booting, but I flashed my backed up boot .img and now all is well. Quesiton - On the Apps2sd gui, there is an option for swap, but it says it wont work with this Kernel. Any way around this you know of? Do you think swap helps with low ram device, or not really necessary?

Really? This is the first time ever, my swap actually activated on boot. Ive always had to run the TE commands to activate it. Wonder why it isnt working for you.

Ahaha I download the rom then pull it apart and delete that and about 10mb of other stuff I dont use before I even flash it. Ahaha

Ok, I'm officially calling ROM Manager "bloatware."
did you fix it cause it works fine for me lol. And ROM Manager is good shyt, I use it and dont use tibu ;)

Swap is working fine for me.

Flashed the new version this morning and everything signed to be working ok until I realized that even though a2sdgui said that apps were on sd, they were still going to internal and tibu wasn't showing the ext. I ran a2sd check on terminal and it said something like my ext wasn't mounted. I tried a reinstall but that failed. I noticed that the rom uses DT a2sd version 2.7.5.2 so I tried flashing 2.7.5.3 beta 4. things were looking goods until it got to the fix permissions part. It rebooted about 80% through and would not boot. Then I tried wiping and reflashing and this time I flashed beta 4 right after I flashes gapps. But still no boot. Restored backup and am gonna try again tonight. I think my ext is ext4 and that may be the issue with 2.7.5.2. might have to repartition but hoping to avoid that.

Hey guys, I flashed the newest rom of CM7 and it got past the ascend screen but now it's stuck and the back light is on but nothing's on the screen.

I had the Metro 2.2 update installed, flashed back to stock 2.1, formatted the SD card, wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition, Wipe dalvik cache, formatted: boot, data, system, and cache and it's still locking up any ideas?

umm why would you think a 'beta' would work or be more stable than a stable release? its working on mine, but I do not use tibu. ;)

I have an ext4 and mine works.

It could be that you have a card issue. I have TB and everything is working fine. You might want to do a complete format of your sdcard on your computer, repartition it, and reflash. If nothing else works, that is.

And the alternate signal display is working now too, I see. Cool, I like the numerical display of the data signal.

I'll try formatting the sdcard tonight. I tried the beta because it's always worked well for me in the past. Had issues with 2.7.5.2 a few months ago. But I trust you guys' judgment so I'm giving it another shot
