I took some base device files from TwistedUmbrella and edited them specifically for our phone. So I would say it about 98% from scratch.

Prinny, if a n00b like me did it so can you. Whenever you feel like giving up, DON'T its the worst thing you can do. BTW don't use a valuable SD card ie one with tons of space. I effed up my 8GB card and had to order a 16GB.

"home is selecting" in my assumption, is when you press the home key, it brings you to your default (1) screen.

I could be wrong, but that's what I assume.

Yup. Only way to run CM9 is to downgrade your hboot which requires s-off

may i ask what you mean by:

No the home button is messed up like if you go to apps and click home button it selects an app instead of going home. Not a big deal right now still working on RIL and Bluetooth. Took a break today may work on it tonight.

I had an idea the other day - could the menu key be repurposed to bring up the multitasking menu? It'd be closer to the experience that google intended for ICS, ya know? As long as the on-screen menu buttons can be made to show up in apps.

It's possible, I used a sense 4.1 Rom once with this setup

When I did soff the directions said tap, but another set of directions somewhere said tap twice. I triple tapped and it completed successfully. I was going to give up (after 15 minutes but Googled around). Try to time it so you can start tapping right before the message comes up on your screen.
