You *can* do that, but I don't think that's necessary. I would uninstall that app and reinstall it and see if that works, if not, it wouldn't hurt to start fresh and do a full wipe and reflash the ROM. Then when you restore w/ TB, don't restore apps + data, just apps.
 
OK. So I flashed Warm Two Point Two. Awesome! The only 2 things I have left that I want to do.

First I want to use SetCPU to over and underclock but I cant with the kernel that came with warm 2.2. Is it ok to flash the custom kernel I had before? Will they conflict?

Second I want to flash some customizations. Do I have this correct?

Wipe Cache>wipe dalvik>flash I dont have to wipe date?

What kernel were you running before? As long is it's a sense based kernel, it'll work with any sense based ROM. An AOSP kernel won't work w/ a Sense based ROM and visa versa.

Secondly, yes, you are correct. When flashing mods or kernels there's no need to wipe data, just cache/dalvik-cache.

Updated a few link descriptions. Added a few new ROM links and also notated which ROMs have 4G working to my knowledge.
 
This may be a stupid question but how can some phones use Sense and others AOSP? I've seen alot of posts about Cyanogen but on your Roms & Kernels Downloads page it's listed as AOSP. My phone uses Sense so I can't flash that ROM. Is it the method you use to root?
 
aosp (android open source project) are roms that do not have sense built in it. you can totally flash them if you want. it does take a learning curve. there are some roms that are not as stable as others. just keep in mind that most of them do not have 4g or hdmi working. however, lately there are some that have 4g working ie Destoryer roms. also so far they are the only ones that have gingerbread working. go ahead and check them out.
 
You can install AOSP Roms. You just won't have the Sense Widgets that you're uses to. But there are comparable ones you can download for AOSP. Think of AOSP Roms like CM7 as a stock OS. Then think of Sense as an overlay on top of AOSP.

Thanks for the update! I saw non sense in the title and thought AOSP lol. Ill make the update later tonight.
 
Another useful tool I've found is Calkulin's ClearTemp.zip, it does as the name implies clearing temporary files from the /mtd partitions. You flash it in recovery just like the FormatAll.zip. I'll attach it to this post, & here's the direct link:

I was helping someone over the weekend set up DarkTremors a2sd. When he got it all up & running he was missing about 100MB of internal storage on the /data partition. I had him run ClearTemp.zip & voilia! He got his 100MB of free internal storage back! :D

Added the clear temp zip to the tools section. Moved Vaelpak to the Sense section. Still trying to figure the best way to regroup everything. Open to suggestions
 
thanx stevcha. i have seen threads like this before, but the OP never keeps the threads up to date. i use this thread a lot. it comes in handy, rather then heading over to xda and to search for roms. keep up the great work!
