I'm planning to RUU, ota update, root, S-OFF, "fix", flash cm10 gangnam
Will the ota update mess anything up there, from what you mentioned?

Am I even safe doing what i plan to? lol
 
If I want to go back to the original PRI 1.53_144 where would I get that at ? I swithched to the 109 radio and ran that way for a while. I couple days ago I updated to the PRI from this site 1.53_145 and I think the 144 worked better for my phone.
 
Wolfu I think you can go through the setting on your phone and click the update pri it should update to the newest version virgin Mobile is pushing.

I can't see which one is which. I had to do it on my phone and couldn't see the contents of the img file. When you said original pri, i assumed you meant that came with the phone. That file contained the android-info.txt file and the pri pulled from the evo v ruu. The first one, not the new update.

Yes I am looking for the one that came with the phone not the new one.
I tried the one you put in drop box but my PRI stayed at 145 it didn't revert to original.

I've been searching the forums and haven't seen PRI's listed anywhere so far.

Maybe Leslie Ann has it?
I did RUU but my PRI stayed at 145 not sure what's going on.

Hmmm. Sorry about that. I pulled it from the original evo v ruu... Unfortunately I don't have computer access right now so I can't dig into all the files. If no one posts it up before I have a chance, I will see what I can do when I have a chance

Thanks, got all this working today. HTC Diag drivers didn't want to play with my Win7x64 that had Sync on it already. Installed via Evo Drivers.rar I found somewhere on my Win7x86 that never had Sync installed on it. After that everything worked just fine. Got the error message at end of PRL install but confirmed it did update after the reboot.

It's a new phone and I'll probably just rock Harmonia for now. Thanks for all the good instructions.
 
Hello, new Evo V user. Just bought mine yesterday after using the Triumph for two years.

I want to follow this guide to turn the Evo into an Evo 3D and I completed Jerofld's guide on how to root. I'm having a problem booting into the bootloader. I turn my phone off and then hold the volume down button while pressing the power button but my phone just starts up as normal. Anyone got any ideas as to why that is?

I'm currently using the Harmonia mod.

start by holding volume down and just tap the power button... no need to hold...
 
Thanks for the quick reply but I didn't even notice the mod has an option to reboot in bootloader, I'll just do that lol.

Yes I did but the PRI didn't change I did some research on XDA and found out that the 145 PRI is a stock that was Modified.
I will try yours one more time. I'm confused because I thought when I re-did the RUU that would put the PRI back to stock it didn't. I tried the one you posted and it didn't change either. I will try it again and thanks for your help.

Hmm well if running the Ruu didn't even change it, then the ruu must not contain what you are looking for. And the file I made was pulled from the 1.13 ruu so it is the same. :/ so you are saying that pri came on your phone. It not something you put there. It's just odd because That ruu is the stock evo v... It should contain everything that was on the phone out of the box.

I had 144 on my phone out of the box, I came to this thread and did the "fix everything" updates that are posted on the first page. Now for some reason I can't get back to 144. What PRI are you running ?
 
I'm not sure what pri I'm on. Can't seem to find it in this Rom. I will pull the pri from the other ruu here in a little bit to see if that works.

That'll work but it's strange that it won't do it with the key press, only time I've ever seen that was when the HTC fastboot was enabled.
