[Verizon] [ROM]JDX (formerly Jelly Belly) AOSP+ - v15 (7/28)

It works after the fix, I meant having it working built it :)

Ahh okay. Well jakeday is testing this fix (one I linked that I got from xda) and if he has good luck with it as I and others did he said he would include it in next build so good news if it works for him ;-)

Ok, so after 10 minutes of screen off, my deep sleep was at 78%...

That is pretty good. Mine is always around ~92% if I do a ten minute test after a timer reset. You might just have something updating/running/querying the net that I don't have. In that same look how much does it show....well nvm can you post a ss?

Haha, well now it looks like I lost data, and I am down to 30% Deep Sleep after 30 minutes, with 60% 350MHz.

Ya know I think my favorite part about this big bulky battery that I have is that I never have to worry about deep sleep or wake locks anymore.... :D

Maybe weak signal and/or handoffs are pegging your cpu at 350MHz and not letting it go into deep sleep properly. See if you can post a ss I'd like to look at it if you have time. Also, have you done the "lock onto gps once then back out of maps" trick?

Anyone else having this issue.... When i do the "swipe up" on the home navigation button to get to Google Now, there is a hefty lag before Google Now pops up. I am on 1.9 right now (although it was the same on the previous versions).

I also have had ZERO luck getting Google Now to start listing my favorite sports teams. I have done MANY searches on my teams and i have yet to see a card for them.

Thanks for any help guys!

Um, it only shows cards for teams with games that day or the day before... Could that be the issue?

Huge lag for me too on 1.9 but has always been that way. Haven't been on vanir since 3.0, but that was laggy too. I was wondering also if that was pretty much the norm. No lag anywhere else, so it doesn't really bother me

Nope... i have been trying for several days, all when games have been played.

Yeah, its not a huge bother for me either, but I kinda dig the idea of Google Now and would like to see it work a little better. I still love me some Jelly Bean!

Ok regarding deep sleep. Is there a perma fix for the gps lock thing? I notice each time I reboot, I gotta do the gps lock thing to get it to deep sleep.

I don't have lag when swiping up from the navbar for Google Now but from the lock screen its ridiculous. It slides back to the center and hangs for a good 10 seconds

OK, here is a SS:

That looks good for 23 minutes. Did you use the phone at all during that time?

Do a long test wait and check it tomorrow.

This is what I get after 17 hours and moderate usage (phone calls, browsing forums, texting, emailing):

This shouldn't be like that mine has always been instant. Matter of fact, I use auto-brightness and the age old "lag when unlocking" issue is gone, even with autobrightness

Some have reported certain kernels as nullifying the gps wake lock issue. I use the stock kernel and I don't have the issue through a reboot. So to answer your Q, I'd say try a different kernel (I've see many talk about Trinity not having the wake issue and being able to reboot w/o having to re-lock the gps to bring it to a deep sleep.

If your battery life is good I wouldn't worry about it

I just flashed today so I am running whatever kernel 2.2 comes with. If it keeps up, I will flash Trinity as that is what I normally run these days. Love that kernel. Did you ever try it?

I have not...yet, but only because I've been so pleased with what comes with jakedays jelly belly which is the stock linaro compiled Google kernel. Be sure to let me know how you like Trinity on JB if you go that route

You got it man, sure thing.

Cheers!

So I let it run all the way down. Here is what I got:

How much screen-on time? Also I notice your BT is on but not connected & in other screenie as well. You'll save quite a bit of juice if you turn it off when not using, unless that's impractical for your BT uses. Looks like you were using it pretty hard/often by viewing the awake time graph.

If you had used it in a similar manner on what you were running before (stock 4.0.4 ICS) how different would it look?

2.3 is out!

So quick reminder here. Dirty flash is wipe cache and dalvik cache correct? Then flash? I need to re-install Gapps to right? :p
