[Verizon] [ROM]JDX (formerly Jelly Belly) AOSP+ - v15 (7/28)

I was hesitant about flashing 3.x, but made the plunge this morning and flashed 3.3 and to me it doesn't seem any different than 2.5 that I was on. i.e. everything I use is working, super smooth, battery life is still great (with the help of my monster 3800 mAh battery mind you). But zero problems at all.

I have read a lot of the problems people have posted from version 1.x (if that's correct) and up and I was picky about the versions I flashed, but I really can't remember a single version of JB that I have flashed being unstable in any manner. I can't remember having any issues with any version. So, if 3.4 is "stable" WOW! don't know what else he could add/do :p

3.3 did not auto restore my apps, which is great for me because that eats up a ton of time downloading them each time. Also some of my paid apps stated they were not compatible. Anyone else have this? Is it just a DPI issue?

I don't think any version of JB has auto restored my apps. It may be turned off by default. I have simply just used Titanium Backup to restore my apps on every version so far and no problems. The only thing I can remember downloading via the Play Store was Google Maps.

I am hoping for a fix on the voice in 3.4. On navigation it doesn't say my street names at all. Not a huge deal but hoping it is fixed in the next release.

3.4 is out and running on my phone as I type this. :D

Initial boot up was fast. The rom itself is significantly smaller than previous builds and Gapps is larger. Face unlock is now fixed. I'm off to play around for awhile to try some other stuff. :vroam:

It isn't in the OP again?

EDIT: Nevermind I see it now :)

I've heard thus is a killer build can't wait to flash it late night tonight!

Idk I got it from inside the thread. I have a few possible concerns. I'm getting lag typing this from the phone. I'm having issues touching links on my screen...like I have to tap them several times. And a few other oddities mostly browser related. Going to try a reboot and see what gives. Starting to wonder abouth the kernel but too early to tell, may be a fluke.

Good news: I'm back home and there's a new version out to flash!

Bad news: My phone battery is about dead!

So I guess I'll DL the ROM and new Gapps, then flash in the morning... unless 3.5 is out by then

Man I don't know what the deal is for me but my whole browsing experience just feels "off". Very laggy. Anybody ever mess with voltages or over clock a little high/low? That's what it feels like. I checked though, still maxed at 1200. Looks like I'll have to break down and clean flash or go back to 3.3, one of the two.

I've never over clocked. Undervolted briefly at one point on AOKP. I don't mess with kernels anymore since I've been on Jellybean. I've never seen lag, games are finally playable, with this huge battery (3800mah) that I have I never need to worry about battery life, so I go it stock with stock voltages.

You need extra batteries :p

Got 3.4 downloaded very fast. Now trying to get new gapps and taking like 20 minutes :(

I guess I'm lucky, I DL'd everything really fast. Found a good mirror, I guess. Making a nandroid now and copying it over to the PC so I'm ready to flash first thing in the morning :)

I LOVE TWRP! :D

3.4 is running smooth and my backup is made. The street names are now spoken and everything seems to be running great so far. I am loving this ROM. Thanks.

Yep, I will have to agree TWRP is amazing. I never thought I would switch from CWRM Touch, but I did and love TWRP! One feature I really like is that is shows you your battery life in the notification bar at the top. So, if you boot into recovery and forgot to look at your battery life, you got it right there. :smokingsomb:

OK guys I'm back in the saddle. Reflashed and all is well. That was a strange 20 minutes but who am I to look a gift horse in the mouth. :D

2.2.0 rocks. Renaming files, complete file manager, it's awesome
