[Verizon] [ROM]JDX (formerly Jelly Belly) AOSP+ - v15 (7/28)

*sigh* has anyone been able to get Google Movies to work? Read recently that they allowed rooted streaming and many report that to be true. I keep getting "couldn't fetch license (error -1)" and to make matters worse it was after I bought 4 movies >.<

What does the franco kernel do for you?
It's just a kernel I've always liked and it has ran very well on my phone. It's gives me a little extra battery life, it runs cooler, and it has better performance (although you'd be hard pressed to see the difference until you pushed your phone really hard). Another huge perk for me and one of the main reasons I use it is the custom color settings (it's compatible with LK as well). I have his app and it's full of useful options: profiles, overclocking and underclocking (I do the latter), fastcharge, high quality sound, sound boost, BLX battery saver, color settings, gamma settings, trinity's contrast tweaks, etc...here

It's just what I prefer. You ought to try it and see if you like it on your phone. His app costs $3

Sorry, didn't mean to ignore you: don't sweat gapps & bootloader. If you want the MD5s for the ones I flashed, I can give those to you :o

I would like this please :D About to flash 3.4 and figured I should get on the JB Bootloader. What's everybody think of it?

The JB bootloader? Can't tell any difference. Never could with any bootloader flash and this is my 3rd on the GN :o

Easy flash though. I did have one of those reboots that sticks on the Google logo for 2-3 minutes then boots. I was chill as I'm used to that since being on JB. Some say they've never seen it...

The JB btldr was reported by some as fixing this boot lag, but who knows. I say go for it. Are ya really gonna go back to ICS... :hahaha:

Running cooler would be nice. There are a couple times that my phone gets really hot...when I'm watching a movie on netflix and when I'm tethering. Actually I have watched a movie on netflix and started another one and it will force close or just freeze. My guess is something with the heat.

The phone can throttle if too hot. A safety feature on all cpu's (that I know of).

Trying kernels is as fun, if not more fun, than trying ROM's.

Added to OP: bottom notification and black background mod. Also blue and red themes with new JellyBeam lwp

Finally a build possibly good enough for me? ;)

Not ME! I just landed in brick territory. Had to fastboot flash TWRP, mount USB and adb pull my SD to my Ubuntu laptop.

I couldn't flash anything after swapping batteries this evening. Thanks to UBRocked for his post about TWRP in the Jelly Bean Sticky. Yeah, I should have backed up first, just grateful that this method of pulling my SD through adb is working.

I know JellyBelly has been great for most of us, but after this, I am going to wait. Something is fishy to me about Jelly Bean and data corruption. I am no Android expert, nor Dev, but I haven't experienced anything like this with any of the phones I have owned.

I am tired and want to go to bed, but my night has just begun. 15 GB to pull to the lappy, then pushing some files, flashing said files and setting an alarm!

Trying to keep my cool here.

The JB Bootloader MD5 is: 2d8fb3aa57e1f529c75be7d8959e99a1

Gapps 7-12 MD5 is: d087101f902e1f19b7e9e3db47fbc38c

If you need any other ones, let me know.

Sorry I'm late, sleep happens :)

It's a match! Flashing 3.4 from AOKP M6 this morning at work...goodbye ICS!

Make sure you use Super Wipe and wipe everything! (except internal memory, of course... that would be bad ;) )

Good luck and enjoy JB!

Jmar! WTH happened??? What do you think went wrong?

As an aside: I'm sorting out high memory usage before I flash anything else. When I started down this JB path I had about 9GB of memory left out of 32GB. That's down to 1.62GB! My internal memory is packed with something! Gotta do some housekeeping before I flash anything :(

EDIT: Well, that didn't take long: 10GB worth of CWM backups! Whoops, never cleaned up that folder... all backups moved to the PC for safekeeping - not that I'll ever use them: half of them are AOKP ICS backups and I'm on TWRP now so CWM backups won't even restore. I kept one for insurance ;)

Which super wipe do you all use and where do I find it? I use one but I first three name.

Good morning, Boss!

I picked up Android Revolution Super Wipe and it seems to do a good job. I think they all do the same thing, formatting the Big Four partitions.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1245892

Scroll down and DL Super Wipe Lite :)

EDIT: Okay, dirty flashed to 3.4 (wiped cache, dalvik and system), battery% and power menu mods work, everything seems to work! GPS lock inside the house within 10 seconds. This is awesome. Well done, Jake!

TWRP 2.2 with a keyboard is pretty cool . If ya haven't tried it yet, try it. Also, when wiping with it all you need to do is factory reset. It does it all for you :). I don't recommend using superwipe scripts, I read up on them last night and if the program is not written correctly or you get a corrupt dnld it can bork your phone like no other. Superwipe was written in response to one single version of CWM that was not wiping correctly 2 years ago.

jmar what gives? What did you do to your phone? Sorry to hear that :(

I've been flashing as long as you (probably much longer :p) and JB is no different for me. Haven't taken any special steps other than being patient on a Google logo screen

And 3.4 is very worthy for Anti, it is by far the best build to date. You have my stamp Anti :)

edit: and for the recored this was a clean wipe in TWRP 2.2

Also thanks to Chief for the recommendations on TWRP!!

Which version of Franco's you running on JB 3.4?

I bought Franco's kernel updater a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away :D Thought I might give it another spin now that I saw you post.

r217/384gpu linked in the OP. Been running it since it dropped (around jelly belly v2.5) :)
