Oh great. By the way I'm using release 3 to type this message right now and everything has been working flawlessly for me. I haven't had a single crash or freeze yet.

But I really miss my quick toggles in the status bar is there a way to get them back?

Install Power Toggles from the Play Store.

Flashed OK on twrp 2.4. Running smooth. Now I'm trying to get external2internal working. I need a little help though. Is this all correct?

I ran into my first bug. Which is in the video recorder. Sometimes when I start it the video recorder will just show a black screen. It won't crash but the screen is just black and it won't record anything.

I just realized that my camera wasnt working at all.
EDIT: well I think it has something to do with flash when the battery is low because when I plugged my phone into the charger, it suddenly worked.

Confirmed bug. I will be switching to a different camera app after Release 4. Probably just a flashable update, possibly with a couple other changes. Release 4 will be up later tonight/early tomorrow. Please note that if you are on R3, there is no benefit to flashing R4.

As for the camera, I'm going to switch over to the camera app from stock 4.1 instead of the one from 4.3 and restore the stock touchwiz gallery app so that setting the lock screen wallpaper works again. Since the Touchwiz gallery is essentially the same as the AOSP gallery with some light theming, I should be able to theme it to look like AOSP relatively easily.

10/04/2013: R4
  • Proper flashable zip, no more tar extraction, should be safe to install from a clean wipe
  • Replaced 4.3 camera with 4.1 camera (fixes video recording)
  • Replaced AOSP 4.3 gallery with stock TouchWiz gallery (re-enables setting lockscreen wallpaper)
-----------------
There are two zips this time. The "Full" zip is for those of you who wish to install from a clean wipe while the "Update" zip is for anybody that is one a working R3 install.

First of all, I'm pretty sure insulting someone's intelligence is breaking a rule here, but I can overlook that.

I have had no problems with SuperSU on this phone, so I'd like to know what problems exactly you've run into.

Koush's Superuser gave me no end of hassles with prompts for system apps that should not be prompting for access (see previous post and actually read the reason for the switch this time). If you don't like it, make your own ROM.

I made this ROM for me, not for you. I shared it because I assumed other people would enjoy it. Nobody said you had to use it. :)

Next update should have working Lidroid toggles, by the way. I am working on getting the layout just right and then I have to change the colors because that ugly green doesn't go well with my AOSP theme.

I haven't seen any issues with supersu since the update after the update that borked root. I think kinks are worked out
