Thanksgiving 2O24

I think that my Thanksgiving is finally in the books. Yesterday we spent the afternoon partying with my son and his buddies all celebrating his 45th birthday. We met at the local bowling alley and partied hardy and then we bowled which was a riot. His buddies are all super good guys that he met in high school. Four of the boys really had no father so I was the father figure which I welcomed. So the wife and I are known as moms and pops. Today I spent the day with my buddies from my school days. We have been the best of friends all of these years... one of them since the second grade in 1958. What a treasure their friendship has been. We had a great time today. As I said at the beginning of this thread, I have a lot to be thankful for.

"Various apps I have disable... why?"

It's bloetware, which is often on Android devices. The Google apps, that's to be expected with many Android device. The Moto and Lenovo, that's from the Chinese manufacturer of your Moto phone. And Amazon Shopping, the manufacturer (or your carrier, if it's a carrier version phone) they receives $$$$ for bundling that.
Yeah I can see why so many people do not like to disable them though, and it is a higher percentage too.

How to activate wifi calling

The built-in wifi calling allows you to have service with your regular number over wifi. The E911 address is a requirement so if you call 911 an address comes up- yes you can be anywhere since it's a cell but that's how it works. You register your home address and then forget about it, if you happen to call 911 from somewhere else just give that location.
There are plenty of other VOIP services that will work over wifi (Google Voice and many others) but not with your cell # and not with the built-in wifi calling app.
