Any Ideas on Factory Resetting Nokia 3.4

Sorry, not looked at this thread for a couple of days.

I installed a fastboot executable years ago just by doing a web search for one: this XDA page turned up in my search just now and seems plausible, but there are plenty of others (I think my own might have come from htcdev.com, as I was using HTC phones back then). As fastboot is a command line utility it should be just a matter of opening a terminal, cd'ing to wherever the thing is installed, then typing "fastboot <command>", e.g. "fastboot reboot recovery" (all this done with the phone connected via USB and in fastboot mode).

No worries at all! Thank you so much for laying that out for me. I have tried it, everything is installed and working, problem is the phone is just not appearing after using the command line, it's like Nokia have just intentionally made this phone unrecoverable. I think it's time to give up on this one, but thank you for all the help.

Help Weird Icon on menu

I wouldn't know, since all the mobile games I've ever played I saved their original APKs when I used to ROM/Root and I have the classics without IAP, wait timers or ads.

@nickdalzell I'm like you, I'm very careful about the mobile games I install and play. But on the other hand the OP's Geometry Dash, might have all that, and more.

I see enough geometry, trigonometry, algebra, etc. in our school classrooms, without wanting to have it in a game.

3D Logo design maker & Creator

Only your designer is responsible for the workability of the site. You didn't need to check and report him all faulty moments - it's his work. And he couldn't leave you with broken links as it's his task. I had experience with a website design, and https://bambooapps.eu/services didn't force me to redo their work.
So 1 - it's not your problem, but you may test the complete site for work. 2 - find out how he worked (what program he used) and find another designer who has experience with his method (it's not hard to find). 3- search in google free hostings sites.

allview viva H801 need ROM

i need stock ROM for Allwiev Viva H801 , i couldn't find anywhere i looked.

this is tablet for whom i need stock ROM

I screwed up whole tablet by going into SP Flash Tool, to format all flash , and now it don't even react to anything, so i need stock ROM to revive it.

(It is recognised when i connect via PC (i hear windows connection sound)) but that's all, no disconecting sound , it just stays that way...

So i am able to flash it, but i can't find stock ROM .

FWIW I completely bricked a cheapo media player device once by doing that. No stock firmware available, and so that was the end of that.

Cannot find improperly installed app

Is your phone rooted or not?
If it is rooted, don't forget that while rooting gives you more unfettered access to the installed Android operating system on your phone, it also significantly increases the risk to be compromised -- rooting gives you system-level permissions, and just as important it gives some jerk system-level permissions to install something like a remote-code exploit. Especially when you haphazardly side-load APKs.
If it's not rooted, than at least you know that APK you side-loaded is going to be easily accessible in the user data partition. You should be able to just wipe if using a typical file manager app. Or you can also just re-install that same APK file, but this time don't skip past any pop-up messages that occur during the install process.

Pixel 5a carrying over an SSL cert issue from old phone. Please help

Just to confirm, you don't encounter this problem when using WiFi, it only happens with mobile data (cellular)?

Or do you indeed run into these SSL cert problems when using both WiFi and mobile data?

Also, it's not clear if you're having problems with just a web browser app (which browser app are you using?) or if this is problem is with different apps having the same connectivity issues.

If the problem happens only when using mobile data that indicates a cellular connectivity issue. If the problem happens with both WiFi and mobile data that indicates a general networking issue with your phone. If it's just happening with a web browser app that's likely to be just a problem that app, if with some apps have cert errors but some are OK than it goes back to a mobile data issue.
Please clarify.

Suggest a easy to root/mod tablet?

Keep in mind that with modern Android and many third party skins incorporating stuff such as Knox or SafetyNet or carrier locked bootloaders, root is becoming harder and harder as of late.

If I wanted to blow away Sense and go Stock Android (why would I want to do that since I bought the HTC just to enjoy classic Sense!) then I could easily root something as old as my Thunderbolt, but obviously my priorities have shifted a lot since those days and I just like using and enjoying my phone as it is. It's not like the bad old days when my LG Optimus V ran out of space from a Play Store update!

storage question for the a21

thanks but if i get another phone that has 64 or 128 gb of storage i will not have to bother with adopting the sd card. some on either on this forum or on the reedit forum told me about the one plus and the moto g being the closest to the lg phones in there operation. also i was under the impression the lg g7-8 was going offline because of not having the 4g lte feature, but some said lg sent out an update that puts them back into the 4g lte program again. i think that may have been the reason i saw so many on ebay. the sellers must have thought there phones were going away.

so i'm looking again for the g7-g8 and the one plus and moto g phones. soon one will show up. i tired swappa but the ones i asked about do not offer returns so at least with ebay if the phone fails i can send it back.

What does these mean

They don't mean anything sinister.

Phones have a lot of processes running in the background that make the phone work, in addition to the apps you see in Play Store or your app drawer. And every app, whether one of these system processes or an app you install yourself, has not just the name you might see in the app drawer but the actual name of the application package, which you can see if you look in a system log or similar. And that's what you are seeing here: the package names for some completely innocuous but essential apps that make up parts of the phone's software.

So what are they?

* lge.launcher3: I assume the phone is an LG, since LGE = LG Electronics. The "launcher" is the app that provides your home screens and app drawer: every Android phone has one. So this is just the system app that manages the home screens (in this case LG's launcher, as opposed to Google's or Samsung's or whoever else's).

* android.incallui: The fact that it starts "android" suggests a part of the operating system. If we break down "incallui" we get "in call UI", i.e. the In-Call User Interface. So this is the app that provides the screen you see when you are in a call, with the name/number/photo of the other person and a few buttons to select speakerphone, bring up the keypad or end the call.

* android.mms: "MMS" = Multimedia Message Service, i.e. picture messages.

* lge.lickscreensettings: do you perhaps mean "lockscreensettings"? That would then be the app that manages, you guessed it, the lock screen settings. The fact that it starts "lge" also tells you that this is one of the manufacturer's system apps rather than something the user has installed.

Hope that helps. It's important to remember that there are a lot of things going on in the background of a phone (which is really a small computer after all), and almost nobody would recognise all of them. Hence if you see something you don't recognise it's best not to jump to conclusions, because usually it's something completely normal. You would be amazed how many people have posted here worried that they have a "virus" because they spotted the "incallui" process, when all that actually means is that they've made a phone call! :)

Worst Customer service ever

Reading alot of these threads clear up a few things. I have a galaxy note9 and I was becoming convinced I needed a new phone because, my phones mobile data connection went on the fritz. I was changing the networks, from 3G, to 4G/LTE and back just to make calls. Often times I'd be able to make a call but couldn't text or vice versa. Then my mobile data would work, but text and calling didn't.

I got an email as well about my sim card being out of date and not having a 4G phone. I bought a new sim card, still had problems. Then I read my phone would stop receiving updates this summer. Needless to say I was frustrated. So I decided to do a 90 day trial with Mint. If I had the same issues with my network then it was my phone if not then it was ST.

I just, like today, got it transferred over after a week of dealing with ST. I'll save yall some trouble hopefully. This is how I kept my number.

Your ST account number is your current ST sim card number. I couldn't find an account number online or in app. They told me my account number was my IMEI number which caused 4 days of incorrect requests.

Text NTP to 611611 to get your transfer pin. You will not find it in your account like they say, you can't set it like they say. Each time you text, you'll get a new pin so don't text until you're ready for one. It times out.

They will not tell you your zip code over the phone, even if you verify your account. They can however check as many guesses as you've got. Had a zip code I hadn't recided in for over a decade, which turned out to be correct. DO NOT let them hang up without guessing the right zip code.

Lastly, when you call press 2 (or whatever the menu at the time you call) for transfer my number. Enter your new Sims card number. If its a different carrier it won't recognize it. When it asks if you want to enter another one, say no.
This will get you to the transfer department. Ask to be transferred to the Port department, they are the ones to help with this.

This was all info frustratingly gathered over 8 days. No offense to other carriers, but I'm never going back. I'm enjoying Mint alot, and I'm no longer having network issues. Plus the customer care team are great and has let me know that ST and Verizon are notorious for trying to keep numbers, they cause the most problems with transfers.

Hope this helps.

My info on spouse's phone...???

"... one account for google/gmail will transfer everything including apps and texts to both phones. The gmail address is attached to both nunbers."
It's interesting you had this same experience. We've shared a gmail account for years and have upgraded phones several times but never had one another's individual apps transfer over when we upgrade. Only our Google-specific apps. I was not using Messages for my texts (I was using a totally separate texting app). It just seems so weird that ALL my stuff transferred.

These were on much older phones like around Android 2.3/Gingerbread. I set up my gmail when we both got HTC EVO 4G's. During set up, that apps that I use were on her phone because I used my gmail to set up her phone initially. Then, I added her gmail later. So, the second EVO had my apps on it. Then a year later, I got her an EVO 3D (which we later returned because it was just too much phone for her at the time). When I set up I used her email but then my contacts got intermingled with hers. I had to manually (by pc) remove all these apps that got mixed in with her contacts. I guess when the phone synced it synced back and forth with my contacts and hers mixed.

HTC had a sync app that would let me sync back and forth with my pc. Thinking about it now I think that may have been the reason why our contacts got mixed. Plus I was rooting and flashing ROMs and who knows what I was doing go through all the set ups and new ROMs.

I can't remember everything and maybe I shouldn't say ALL of my apps transferred but I remember setting up her Samsung S3 with HER email and some of MY non google apps were on it. This was before all the family library system, too. I thought it was strange but I just deleted them after they were installed. She doesn't use as many apps as I do.She probably uses maybe 5 apps in addition to the core apps.

Help Contacts Revert to Default

I have got a strange problem on my BQ Aquaris X pro phone android 8.1
Without any given time frame my contacts(I use a third party contact app but it seems to be a system wide problem looking at google contacts)
either
disappear totally(which i can see if a whatsapp contact suddenly only shows numbers)
or
their spelling changes to ie a spelling i mistyped the first time i saved the contact.

or
contacts i have long deleted reappear (ie my kid is in grade 3 but suddenly the preschool teacher numbers are reappearing)
or
a contact reverts to an old deleted number.

as if some old database is constantly reaccessed
I noticed a similar problem on my kids phone too, when suddenly the contacts were deleted She hardly has any apps on her phone(only whatsapp an gallery really)
I recently changed my phone from an aquaris X to an Aquaris x pro and the problem is still there.

Help Permissions Issue with AndroidLost App

Don't guess you might know of anyway to get around these changes, since I now have root access on this phone?
I'm sorry I don't, but I did move this to the 3a forum where other device owners may be able to help. Knowing you have root, it could be possible there is a workaround to granting the permissions via a Linux shell or other root enabled process. Again, above my skill level. :)
