Root [ROM] CTMod 3.80 (04/06/13)

Hey Blood. I am more of a lurker here than anything. Just wanted to say using Root FA19 (works awesome for me) Flashed CTMod 3.5 Unbelievable. Launcher is beyond compare smooth. 3G is smoking. Ap2E perfect. Thank you. Oh and I thanked you the old fashioned way too... via Donate.
I'll do anything with my phone so if you ever have anything risky you need tested hit me up. What's the worst that can happen? LOL
Seriously Thanks.

Verson 3.6
Fixed the lag from 3.4 and 3.5
Fixed some stuff in the build.prop
Fixed some stuff in S03CT
Upgraded kernel to KoumaKernel 2.5
Updated Quickpic to newest version
Updated File Explorer to newest version
Updated Xperia Launcher to newest version
Updated KoumaMod settings to newest version (it shows up correctly that SSM is enabled now, Thanks Kouma)
Downgraded Voltage Control to fix a bug for saving settings as init.d
Replaced the stock browser with a fake Chrome Browser I put together for CTMod
Fixed and Updated some theming
Probably some other stuff I don't remember

Themes made for 3.5 will still work.

Hi Guys!

Another great job Bloodawn. Im running SSM and after I reinstalled all my apps, I ran Antutu benchmark and scored an 1871. Earlier today with the same setup except with 3.5, I scored 1568. Ill report if any lag issues but I got a real good feeling about this rom.

Also great job to Kouma for another great Kernal and working with Bloodawn to make a perfect rom/kernal combo.

Snappy, responsive, no lag as of yet.
I'm just wondering what's with the psycadelic dL bar?
I feel like ima become epileptic.
PS. You should pit a warning for that!

Love the new coloring..
Did some nice to the look.
Everything is beautiful.
Thanks for hearing us out about the lag bro.
And g'night.

Looks sexy! I'll be rockin it through the day at work today to see how it goes. Blood, you said you were going to be implementing some things from back in 3.3 when it was incredibly zippy and stable. Did that happen? What were you able to find out if you don't mind my asking?

Thanks for yet another update, much appreciated!

there was some stuff in the build.prop and my init script causing problems, so I changed what I thought was causing it back to how it was in 3.3 and everything seems alright now.

Hi.

First love CTmod...was my first experience rooting a phone and simply love it.

I was using sd-ext in 3.5 so for the update to 3.6 I tried to turn that on as well.

Anyone else having issues with it hanging at the kernel load screen after switching to data?

I did a factory reset, cache, and dalvick cleaning b4 install.

then got into 3.6 fine. Went to CTMod settings, then kernel, selected Data and rebooted, but now it hangs.

Just wondering if I'm the only one.

Edit: Also formatted, then repartitioned SD to attempt to fix, no luck :/

BUG CONFIRMED!

My phone is doing precisely the same thing, been sitting for five minutes. I'll give it until i finish this post, and update my guide, then i'll start trying to fix it

I'll make a separate post just to keep things organized:

CTmod 3.6 installed over CTmod 3.5 in data mode

Installed CT 3.6 and rebooted, changed koumamod to data and rebooted. Hung up at KK boot screen for +20 minutes.

Flashed KK 2.5 on top of existing install, rebooted successfully and checked koumamod, which showed data. Extra storage was not available. Rebooted and checked again, no change. Selected data in koumamod and rebooted, hung at KK screen.

Flashed KK 2.4, exact same issue as before. Reflashed CTmod then KK 2.4 immediately after, same issue as before.

Blood, it looks like when you unpacked koumamod.apk to strip out the bloat, it damaged strings.xml.

notably, it changes the first line of /system/koumamod to "on koumaMod"
it should be "on koumamod"

that causes the /data partitions to simply never mount.
damn capitalization

Hello Koumajutsu my batt is almost dead. I have to wait a little bit to charge before Install. I wanted to know If this would work the old way. Can you use the terminal to change modes or is that the same as selecting the setting in your apk?

it's a good bit easier to use the apk.
it seems the one that is in the ctmod zipfile is a bit borken though.
if you change a setting, you can just go in and replace that capital M with a lowercase m and it should then boot just fine.

OK, thanks. Ill straighten it up when I get home.

Well, since you're out of the house, I'll go ahead and do this for now:
CTMod3.6-Prevail_tempfix.zip

I downloaded the very same file I had PM'd you for CTMod, changed the filename to KoumaMod.apk like you have, and opened it with WinRAR, deleted the bin folder, and then put it in the ctmod installer zip.

I don't know if you removed any other bloat you found in the apk, but I wasn't about to decompile/recompile and end up causing the same problem myself
