could you show us a bit how to edit the build.prop file. i took a look at the post on xda forums, but i dont know where to start editing. should i just input the settings i want all the way at the bottom?

This version of CM7 was built using some of the Froyo blobs including the RIL, I am working on a new version that uses the GB blobs

I would try using Odin to downgrade your baseband to EE14, it may help

just go to the bottom and type this in:
This is what i use and i left out the vm heap size cuz i leave it defaulted.

scrolling and touch response with less lag is most noticeable, 3g speeds are a little better. I haven't compared picture quality because i barely ever use the camera in the first place besides the barcode scanner which doesn't apply in this situation.

About the same here.. Camera doesnt look that much different but looking at the pics afterwards the quality looks to be improved

Im camera quality is better and the internet speed is alot faster.

Truthfully as long as thats my only real problem ill keep GB until your new version is finished i can deal with hitting the mute button twice lol
 
So I have been having trouble with my SD card. This will be the forth time that I have to factory reset cm7 so that it will mount my card again. It works for about a week and then it just randomly unmounts and stops working. Can't mount it through CWM or USB connect it after it unmounts itself. Any help?

what else are you installing besides CM7

are putting on a2sd or anything like that
 
I've been running Cyanogenmod on my prevail since the 1st beta came out and everything has been great I love everything about it. But for some reason my phone only vibrates when I get a text, it doesn't make any sounds. I was wondering if anyone has had this same problem or knows how to fix it?
 
Hey everyone, I wanted to post this to see if anyone else was having this problem. So, I installed the mod beta yesterday buy following the steps, looks awesome by the way, but ran into a problem:

1. No icon for gmail to sync it with my account. I couldn't add my account because it was looking for a exchange account.

Am I missing something or did it not install correctly?

Take a look at post 4 of the thread and get the google apps download posted there, that should fix you up
 
Thanks so much, knew I missed something. I just went thought the steps again and added the file and it work :) I now see a message "Problem loading widget" what widget is it trying to load?

I tried to do a2sd on the first beta but I couldn't get it to work. So I reformatted my card and redid my cm7 install and it was fine for a while then this happened.

Update: It's happening faster now. Just reinstalled this morning and it already died....

could be your sdcard... do you have another sdcard to test and see if thats it? maybe one from a blkberry.. any micro sd will work.
 
Fun Fact about CM7 on the Prevail. Open the app drawer and select Dev Tools, then Bad Behavior. Now you to can "Report a WTF condition" just like the guy who bought the first Galaxy Nexus(first ICS phone) First happy Galaxy Nexus customer isn't so happy, wants to exchange it (update: replacement works fine) -- Engadget. Gotta love the Google devs for their nerdy humor.

Still can't believe he returned a developer phone. I would have sold it to XDA or hell even on Ebay. I'm sure someone could have put gapps on it for him. :D
