The natives are restless and I'm confused. Therefore, I have a pm into The Source. I am hoping to hear back from it. It's like I shined the bat beacon into the night skies of Gotham City.

Here is TC's review of the RAZR just for some morning reading: Motorola Droid RAZR Review: So Close, Yet So Far | TechCrunch

No news on the SGN front though huh? I want to get frustrated, but I just can't wait for this phone. Everytime I feel like waiting for 1Q12 to get something I see a commercial or re-check the images of the SGN and change my mind all over again.

Yay!

Stay strong!

Has the source heard anything about inductive charging?

If inductive charging was a feature, they would have mentioned it at the unveiling weeks back.

BabyBlues, I get a 403 error when I try to click on that link.

@Stigy, From what I've seen, TechCruch has always been biased towards apple, I never really take their reviews seriously. The RAZR is many things, but cheap-feeling is not one of them. I wonder what they'll say about the Gnex

I'm starting to feel some Bionic vibes over the seeming delays. Not a good sign.

Back in the Bionic thread someone asked me what was my cut-off date for waiting. I said Black Friday. When I said it, I thought for sure I'd never even get close to that date.

If we don't get a Verizon-official date for the Nexus release by Black Friday (yeah, that seems farfetched, but so did 11/7 without a release announcement), I'm strongly considering jumping ship to AT&T.

Yeah, I know, who cares, I'm a blip on Verizon's radar, even less than that, blah blah blah. I wouldn't do it as a statement. I'd do it for peace of mind, for an SGSII with LTE, and for a cheaper plan. I don't get near 2 GB of data a month, and just because I'm on 4G doesn't mean I'm going to be streaming movies like crazy. That's what I have my tv for.

So, that's it. If no announcement by Black Friday, I'm done.

I will gladly wait another week to finally get a Nexus on Big Red.

Verizon never released a date other than "before the end of the year." I prefer to look at the delays that they are making sure they release thing with the least amount of bugs, etc.

My anger and frustration is in the way the release has been handled and the fact the Verizon passed up the SII for this mess. I would have gladly taken my SII a month ago and never even followed the Nexus.

Absolutely -- I know they are extremely Apple biased and they always will be.

I follow them on twitter and if I ever saw an article from parislemon (MG Siegler) I would just ignore it because he is the biggest Apple fanboy that I know. Its absolutely horrendous.

My OG Droid is having good and bad days lately. I had to battery pull 3 times yesterday.

It's really not even the fact that there are so-called "delays" happening. It's the fact that it's been a month since the original scheduled press event and nearly 3 weeks since the actual press event and STILL no release date announced.

So I just read a review for the RAZR, and nothing suprising, battery life not good enough to justify non-replaceable battery, and it can cook an egg during high loads (thanks to the overclocked 4430, no doubt)

Exactly. People are getting ticked off at others' use of the word "delay", but who cares; it's just semantics. The fact is that Verizon royally sucks at launching products; it's like watching the 3 stooges fumbling around. It's embarrassing.

I'm getting past my breaking point soon. I wandered over to the Verge's review of the RAZR, to see if that would be a fallback option, but they're saying that the display majorly sucks. So that's out.

The ReHound, eh, it doesn't really appeal to me. I think it's too thick. But I'll probably to a little hands on experimenting on the 14th and see what's what.

And the dates that HAVE been announced (European) are now in question this morning thanks to Amazon. But to be fair, everything we hear is a rumor, and some are more reliable than others, and so far, the reliable ones have been focusing in on the 17th, with only a couple outliers saying differently.

I have been reading this thread for over a month now, but I just received a bit of info from my cellular rep (he owns a company that resells for Verizon). I informed him of the recent rumors (Nov. 21st) so he called his Samsung Rep. (literally just got off the phone) and they stated it was in Verizon's internal testing and that date sounded about right. He also told me that I shouldn't look for it before the first week in December.

"Things like this always get pushed back. I've been in this business too long not to know." Which is over 25 years.

As I'm sitting here contemplating waiting for another phone, my OG Droid drops below 40% on the battery....I've only had it off the charger for 3 hours.

I would have loved to get a SGSII 2 months ago...but then I think about it, and I'm glad I held off. Just like I wish I would have held off for the Nexus S instead of going for the Vibrant on T-Mobile. Lack of software/update support from TMO, Touchwiz is not so great, bad GPS chips in the first wave of devices ignored with no fix in sight, never getting Gingerbread, carrier releases an updated model less than 6 months after and EOL's the Vibrant shortly after that, etc.

Don't get me wrong, the GSII is a very nice device. But if you don't want any of that crap, the Nexus is where it's at. And also, I would not be surprised if some of the US models get the cold shoulder from the carrier when it comes time for the ICS update (ahem, T-Mobile)
