Root [ROM][ACS] GB UNleashed 2point3 [GBU-3/20/11] " KING STYLE "

I'm going to give this ROM a try, but I have this question. What is the best way to restore apps if I'm going from a Sense ROM to an AOSP ROM? I am sure that a batch restore from Titanium, with data, would be a bad idea, but can I restore the apps, sans data, with Titanium? Do I need to use AppBrain instead, or just go one at a time through the market?

I have used TB for it and just done them one at a time instead of batch. As far as I know I have had no issues so far.

I'm getting a "signature verification failed" error and the flash is being aborted. Do I need to toggle signature verification or did I get a bad download?

There's an option in TB called "Migrate System Data" that's used to restore data between incompatible ROM's. I've read of people using this option at XDA's forum and having success.

Here's a random question about this ROM....is there any sound with the included boot animation? I'm planning on loading this ROM up during classes today, but want to make sure I am not going to have some crazy music playing for 30 seconds the first time I boot up in the middle of finance...

Thanks guys.

LOL no there is no sound, just a blue ring going around the droid

No, you're good there. There is no music while it's booting.

HELP! me no likey....i wanted to join the bandwagon i really really did. I just cant get it. Even bought LP plus and used the native scrollable widgets.

Its not the snappiest rom ive ever used. It does everything ok for me, nothing exceptional. The theme choices bore me. I want to use LPP because of the widgets but I like ADW EX better, LPP has the ugliest docks ever made.

Its not the snappiest ive ever used. Im going to try using a2sd and see if that improves anything. I'll try it for a couple more days in hopes it grows on me. If not im back to kings and konis sense roms.

It's definitely not for everyone.

Not bad. I can see why people like it, but it didn't take me long to realize that I'm not one of them. It moves a lot slower and the GPS issue that I never could correct, plus the periodic freezing of the phone was enough to send me back to MikFroyo. I made a nandroid including that ROM, because I would like to explore getting the emulator + Wiimote + HDMI out working for some entertainment on the road. Other than that, it just doesn't feel as polished as most Sense based ROMs and certainly much slower than MikFroyo.

Im glad im not the only one that didnt feel it was so snappy. I kept hearing it was smooth and quick but i wasnt feeling that. Running SZ 1.0.1 oc'ed, just sayin, ive had faster :).

I think I liked Blue Haze V1 better. Its a cm7 base also, more polished look to me and felt a bit smoother.

I got gps and vvm working though. Its an option, I'll try it for a bit, maybe an r3 will drop with some more improvements and things i like.

Mine running Kings GB R2 and Savage 1.6 kernel not overclocked seems faster than when I was running Mikfroyo oc'ed at 1152.

GPS hasn't been an issue for me since switching to AOSP roms a few weeks back and doing the "fix" before coming off of Mikfroyo. Mine locks in less than 10 seconds and tracks no problem to 4 meters.

Guess ill try savage 1.6 or tiamat or ziggy, lol i keep like 12 kernels on my sd card...i'll flash around.

My gps works, locks in a few seconds, dead on accurate. Had to do the fix, not sure why but whatever, it works. vvm works too.

+1

I'm running Savaged Zen 1.01 cfs, set at 245/729 and it feels extremely fast and smooth; I'm also at day 2 unplugged w/ moderate use w/ 45% left.

Well, it was smooth, it just wasn't quick. I think MikFroyo probably has me spoiled.

My web browsing overall feels a heck of a lot faster w/ this ROM, than any Sense ROM I've ran in the past.

The KING has you all brainwashed :D. Nah, i may give you web browsing smoothness.

Battery seems to be doing better than usual too didnt even look at that yet. at 89 percent, unplugged last night at 2 am. alarm went off for an hour this morning lol, been at work with light usage, couple texts, couple email, light web...not bad

I should also note my phone is always overclocked unless the screen is off which I guess makes that pretty amazing lol. I run 998 to 1152 when the screen is on. My phone is like my driving, always speeding lol.

I tried this and while I liked it very much, few things were a bit annoying. For one, it took really long for the gps to locate me and my second issue was with vvm. The vvm wasn't downloading my voicemails like it did with a stock Evo and also I started receiving texts for the voicemails which I couldn't figure out how to stop them. If anyone knows the fix to my problems i might stick with it longer but until then just restored back to stock =/.

Try this for the VVM: How-To Reinstall Your Sprint Visual VM under CM7!!! - xda-developers

As far as GPS, there is a fix but I don't have the link for it. If you search XDA for gps fix you should be able to find it. Someone here might have the link also.

Uh oh! Sounds like Evo might be coming over to the dark side!
