repeat the steps of installation... you may have overlooked a step. if that doesnt work re-download and try again (sometime you get bad downloads, happens to me every now and then)
 
Out of curiosity, what exactly in the wifi driver is causing the phone to lock up? I'm using this rom as my daily and loving it, my biggest problem with it is that wifi sleeps whenever I lock the phone, which is annoying, given that my 3G signal is garbage in my house so i use wifi all the time. It's very odd that a problem with wifi causes a complete refusal to wake.

I'm having the same problem. It sleeps no matter what setting you choose. Apparently wifi on during sleep mode cause waking issues. My 3G is spotty. And while I know its a debatable issue, leaving wifi always on (since I'm always in hotspots zone) saves me on battery tremendously. I'll be patient for the fix on this.
 
If I remember correctly, wifi will be on when the phone is sleeping, it just has to toggle off when you wake the phone.

Hmm okay. That would be better than it actually being off the entire time during sleep. I haven't been able to verify this because when the screen comes back alive, the 3G icon is displayed and then it immediately switches and connects to the Wifi.. which by the way is connecting (obtaining ip address) ALOT faster than the previous build. It could just be my imagination though. I do really like this ROM. I am having no other issues.. I did have an issue this afternoon where the phone would not return from sleep state and I had to do a battery pull, however I cannot relate that to this ROM for several reasons: the issue has occured before on stock ROM, and I am using SetCPU which I think I had my min/max idle speed set too low.
As far as random reboots, I have NOT had any so far (I updated to the latest build a little over 5 hours ago.)
 
This is great, I just did a fresh install from factory. My WIFI disconnects every few minutes though, 3G is okay so far. Maybe because I was downloading large amounts of date, multiple apps at once from the market.

This is not true. I tried streaming a song over wifi and when i put the phone to sleep it would just stop until i unlocked the phone again.
 
Wifi does NOT stay active when the phone is sleeping. This is a workaround for the lockups we were originally getting. I continue to look at this but it's not clear it's fixable except by doing what I did.
 
I'm experiencing the reboots on 10-2 build also, just fyi. Only when Wifi is enabled during sleep. Upgrading to 10-11 build in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1...
